I think the real other end of that, though, is that the fatass landwhale should be given a chance to be rejected at least. I think it's stupid to go out to social events around the opposite sex and expect that absolutely none of them will ever want to get into a more horizontal relationship with you, and expect that you won't ever have to say no.
Obviously a "no" should be respected, but I don't think that means the question itself should be taboo. As it's the burden of men to risk the rejection, it's the burden of women to deliver the rejection, and while maybe it's not fair and maybe nobody wants it this way, the only other ways for it to be are reversed or more evenly split, because all relationships begin with that interaction.
So I get why a woman like the one who wrote the editorial up there would want to honestly complain about that state of affairs (although you always wonder if it's just disguised bragging); she's relatively attractive (and into gaming apparently) and probably does have to do that kind of screening all the time.
