Yet the number of males who go to Africa for sex/marriage tourism is very very low. It's even very rare to hear of black westerners doing it, it's almost always fat old women in their late 60s with low incomes. (female version of male sexpats in Asia). I've actually met three black sexpats that went to Thailand of all places to find a partner.
Despite poverty and abundance of traditional women it is unheard of for such a thing to happen, with the exception of oil workers and African expats.

Thailand is like Scandinavia in comparison to many African nations in terms of poverty and danger. Prostitution and disease are also serious issues there. I also think Thailand is seen as a very welcoming nation, while some African countries are very suspicious of outsiders.
Travel is possible if you know how to avoid getting mugged or scammed, but as for "sex/marriage tourism", I never understood it. If you have some fetish for black women you can just as easily browse whatever country you live in for a girlfriend while knowing she likely isn't involved in anything shady.
