The only other thing might be that I do have noticeably different styles of writing vs. speaking, and that I tend to "talk" on the Internet as I would write, so if someone was reading my posts picturing all of that being spoken out loud, rather than as a "letter" to someone, then that I could definitely understand that seeming to come off as a bit unnatural.

I don't doubt it for a moment. The moral of this thread is everyone wants someone who is on the same wavelength as they are sexually, and it makes no damned sense why this should be so hard to attain with literally billions of these fuckers running around with their own sexual psychologies.
In some ways, it makes it worse to find people on the Internet who relate to you. At one level, it assures you there are others out there like you, but at another, it's just cruelly dangling in front of you what you can't have by showing off likeminded others that you know you will never trust enough to meet with IRL.
