Just finished a bachelors in it (although it was a joint honours). I personally have had a few job offers and am currently deciding: one with the police; a research position with an advertising company (26kilobongs starting, best paid offer so will probably take it), and a civil service one.
Kind of depends what you make of it though, do decent research and prove yourself and it can be beneficial. I would suggest doing your thesis/dissertation on something that shows you have a good grasp of useful things like finance, politics, businesses etc., rather than straight criminology, depending on what you want to go into.
Sadly some of the stuff i found most interesting was probably the least useful - criminology of war is really interesting and relevant to a lot of current affairs, but to most people will probably sound like conspiracy shit (despite being proven, they just dont want to listen)

I wouldn't say that its fedora, but there aren't many jobs in it (I assume you mean you want to do like crime scenes and stuff?). Also homicide detectives generally work their way up in the police, I've not looked into it as a career myself so cant say how much a degree is going to help you.
Also you may be falling into the trap that a lot of people seem to, in confusing criminology with forensics. It's a common mistake, so make sure you know which you are talking about and actually want to do before you sign up for it! (sorry if that sounds patronising, but it really is a mistake a lot of people make. on my course some people complained about the lack of forensics modules and it was like...but you aren't on a forensics course??)
If you did computer science I'll assume you're interested in it, maybe look into digital/computer forensics? Can only see that field widening so may be more careers in it than usual forensics. Alternatively, show willing by volunteering etc. A CV with volunteering on it will look better than one with a gap. Don't just go for charity shops (unless you want to work in a shop, then its relevant experience). Look on the websites of charities near you and see what it says they need help with or get in touch with them. Some places run classes helping people with technology, some need receptionists or people to help with things like digitising their paper records

It is way too close to call. I'm voting remain, but a close victory for either one is about as horrible as it gets.
