Ignore the economic and immigration arguments. Focus on ideals and values. Do you believe the EU is our best bet for an eventually united world? Do you believe it to be corrupt and beyond repair? Are you for or against globalisation?
I believe the EU is a noble idea. But I believe this version has failed. It needs to be broken down and taken apart so we can try again with something else.
I don't trust the morons that wanted to ban encryption to be left to operate entirely on their own. I also think most the people that want to leave just like the idea of the UK being its own separate thing rather than objectively looking at the pros and cons.

There's been plenty of problems. I'll list a couple.
Economically the Union is absolutely stagnant, and slow to make trade deals. Even when they do make trade deals, they always seem to fuck up trade relations between that party and the UK. Their upcoming trade deal with America, TTIP, is showing signs of being their biggest mistake made yet. It will give corporations the power to sue governments on the grounds of lost profit due to legislation and other crazy things.
Politically, this is the story. In the UK, the house of commons, directly elected by the people, is able to propose, repeal, and vote on legislation, whereupon the lords can look at, amend, and delay legislation before it's passed. In the EU, parliament has no power to propose or repeal legislation, the commission does (which is made up of 28 appointed officials and a president, not unlike the house of lords). Instead parliament only has the power to look at, amend, and veto legislation. And even when allowed just this, the Executive powers reserved by the commission and council can override parliament. It's completely backwards.
There are some areas in which this is less mad, but the EU system almost seems purposely byzantine as there is little connection between the people and the union politicians.
