What doesn r9k think of the original American pie film (1999)? Do American teenagers really behave like this? There's something about the film that makes me nostalgic for a time and place I never lived in.
>>
no, I wish. I remember seeing that when I was young. That and Orange County, and being like "holy fuck, this is what I have to look forward to. I cant wait."

OP here. There's something about the cameradery between the male characters when it comes to sex in American films. Is it really like that there? It's just something I never experienced. I'm quite jealous of it.
>>
>>29330639
Yeah well obviously. That's just how they made teenage films back in the 90s and early 00s. I actually really loved Alyson Hannigan in Buffy. Sort of wish I was an American teenager in the late 90s early 00s. The internet was still nerdy and pure, SJWism was not rife, and it just seemed more interesting. I dunno maybe I just have a false impression because of the movies.

well I went to high school here and no it wasnt, i went to college here and again, no it wasnt, BUT, I met a few people a while back, they were from nova scocia in canada and they all absolutely behaved like that. One would see a girl in a night club and tell his friend "im going in". hed go and start talking to the girl and all his friends would be like "there the boy wonder goes!" all excited for him. If one of them saw a friend who looked like she was getting annoyed or something, they would quickly swoop in to deflect the friend of the girl so that the original guy could continue his conversation with the girl he was flirting with. They would also do shit like tell each other which girl to approach and what to say to her. They usually did this while on mushrooms and mdma and shit. theyd do whatever drug they could find whenever they went out. absolute madmen those guys.
>>
OP here. I'm a britfag. If you look at teenage shows like in my country like 'skins' it's all decadence and miserable sex, drugs and selfishness and indulgence. In American Pie sex just seems funny and fun. It's all a big laugh and in the end the nerdy loser guy wins.
>>
>>29330758
That's the kind of thing I'm talking about. When guys who aren't chads stick up for each other when it comes to girls. It makes rejections less humiliating and painful; if a girl laughs at you and calls you a pathetic creepy loser then your guys will back you up and it becomes a funny story. Without that cameradery you stay a creep. Damn Nova Scotia sounds good.
>>
>>29330563

that's because you're a manbaby retard who doesn't know shit about the real world. kill yourself, you autistic nothing.
>>
>>29330905
The things you say are all true. But this is r9k. So really you're the outsider here.
>>
my teenage years were like that minus the foreign model that wants to fuck and a friend fucking a pie. It was like 2-3 normal/chad types that understood how to get laid and my other friends that couldn't get pussy if they were the last guy on earth

Willow was the proto-SJW you dumb fuck, how can you like her annoying character if you don't like SJWs.

best character in buffy

Get the fuck out you stupid wiccan landwhale literally kill yourself right now.

Willow was a nerdy lesbian and Buffy has muh 'strong female characters' sure, but that's not exactly SJWism. SJWism is immense self-righteousness and bullying. It's not about helping women it's about beating down men. Joss Whedon is a cuck extraordinaire but he wrote some damn good tv shows.

Nah m8 Buffy was a good show and Willow was gr8 waifu material (if she wasn't a lesbian). Despite Whedon's political leanings, I actually don't think tumblrinas would get Buffy. Buffy transcends politics really. Buffy was a reformed Stacey and Willow was just adorable.

No Willow was an annoying, ugly, fake tryhard bitch and if you like her you deserve to be cucked to death.
>>
>>29331451
I deserve to be cucked to death because I like a character from a tv show? Because the show had some vaguely feminist leanings pre-sjw? Well I'll never get a gf anyway so the chances of me being cucked are 0%

Who was more attractive Willow or Buffy?

>Do American teenagers really behave like this?

I think it's just a fictional incarnation of teenage fantasies, specifically teenage males. Not all college-age guys act like this, although some do. I wouldn't know of any examples personally since I've never lived on a campus.

>What doesn r9k think of the original American pie film (1999)?

I'm gay, so I never identified with the film at all. It didn't seem the least bit entertaining to me.

There was actually a gay version of this film entitled "Another Gay Movie." It's loosely based on the same plot, but ten times more campy. and with much, much more overt pornography.

yeah exactly. they definitely werent chads and mostly bought their clothes from value village. they all travelled around together renting out different places and working shitty jobs all over the world. theyd go out and hit on girls together adn if one got rejected theyd all just laugh about it and try again. by the end of the night theyd all be so fucked up on mushrooms and shit but they still always managed to bring a few girls back to their place to party until the early hours of the morning every weekend. theyd also party pretty much 5 or 6 days a week, none of them were really conventionally atractive but were all amazing with women through forced repetition.. I think they are all in ireland right now.

80s and 90s were the best decades to be alive.
No, this is not a meme.
They were objectively superior.

>>29330741
>SJWism was not rife, and it just seemed more interesting. I dunno maybe I just have a false impression because of the movies.

It's no more rife today than it was 10 or 20 years ago. Your "SJWs" have always existed in the form of hippies, beatniks, and other assorted social groups. There have always been groups from every side of the spectrum to take offense to every form of media ever. Back in the '80s and '90s, it was largely the far-right protesting "ungodly" things like homosexuality, or claiming that everything that wasn't overtly Christian in nature was some attempt to indoctrinate America's youth into Satanism.

Serious writers and filmmakers really don't give a shit, and public influence in the creative process is no more disruptive today than it was just a few decades ago. Difference is, censorship was a major hindrance back in those days, because there were independent boards assigned to various forms of media, and they themselves were largely opposed to things like gay characters appearing in the media. So for instance, writers weren't allowed to script any gay characters into their comic books (and yes, some of them wanted to do this) because it would have meant being dropped by their publisher, which in turn meant no major retailer would stock their comics.

What's the fucking question? Willow looked like a fucking bald weasel and had the personality of one, Buffy was hot as fuck.
>>
Recently graduated from East Grand Rapids (the school the movie is based on).
The movie is a little bit exaggerated, but not by much.
>>
>>29331759
I prefer Willow. Willow is for gentleman patricians. Buffy's for pleb scum such as yourself.
>>
>>29331871
>Willow is for gentleman patricians

No, Willow is for pathetic insecure sour-grapes cucks.

Mid to late 90s was a great time for America in general. It was after the end of the cold war but before the war on terror. The American economy was amazing and crime dropped. The 90s was a good time to be a teenager in America it seems.
