Well, ideally you can buy a can of beans, ramen noodles, or whatever for less than a buck a meal. Cheap shit food is just that, and can usually be prepared without any trouble. Plastic silverwear is often given out freely at stores, and can be used. Worst case scenario, go to a restaurant right around closing, and check for food in the dumpster. There are bound to be takeout boxes with food in them that have been discarded after being cooked only earlier that day, if you are in a more urban area, you should have no trouble finding a freshly cooked half eaten meal. Hell, if you have the nuts, you can walk right up to someones table at a food court, and eat their food right from the abandoned tray after they leave.
Though you are probably going to be able to buy food for yourself for long enough, or you can just ask people.

Technically mine was three hours away but had really discounted rates (which I couldn't even pay at first, they can let you delay costs) because I was poor as shit. For a neet, blaming yourself means taking responsibility for yourself and future.
Sure, if blaming your parents will somehow improve your life, go ahead, but if you're like me, and the neets here, how long have you put the blame on them for and how much has it helped you?
Personally, blaming them has only made them give up on trying to "help" me (they think being overbearing is helping). So im now, in a sense, free to live my neet life indefinitely provided they don't need to financially support me (i can live fine on neetbux for now).
But all those years causing tension within the family hasn't helped me one bit in the past, it only means i dont get shit on for being a neet anymore, which is why i realise i have no one to blame anymore but myself, which means it's time for me to take responsibility for my own life.
Looking back, all i did was play video games everyday anyway and indulging in escapism, which is what all neets are addicted to; I wasn't taking responsibility for myself. I obviously still indulge in escapism now aside for the video games but im definitely better than before even if it's slightly and slowly.
Maybe you're blaming your parents as a cry for help. I mean if you blame someone, doesnt that mean you want the person you're blaming to rectify his actions .I.E. Right ones wrong.
Also part of blaming yourself is moving on from the others you've been blaming in your past and to see things more objectively. My parents are pretty good enablers, which means if i ever have the ability to finally move out, I won't want to have anything to do with them, they're just not good for me and that means taking responsibility for your own future and making the hard choice of cutting them off for your own sake.
