Would anyone like to talk about Warhammer 40k? Anything related to it.

I'm like Angron.

Imperium no longer follows the teachings of the emperor and is corrupt beyond belief, run by super greedy hierarchy and becoming a backwards, religiously fanatical Empire
>Mechanicum doesn't know how to create Ceramite

they'll be fine, the emperor is watching

>Dwell in the underground because they hate everyone

I liked a lot of the more popular series a lot, not a fan of most single books. The Ragnar Blackmane series was one of the best fantasy series I've ever read
>>28473205
someone told me to start with the eisenhorn series or the horus heresy
>>28472753
Being religiously fanatic is the only thing that holds them together surrounded by a galaxy that wants to murder them.
The Imperium is a grim and fascist out of necessity.
>tfw ywn be a princeps

If you don't have much experience with the genre, yeah thats also a great series.
>>28473397
But that isn't at all what happened. After the emperor's death the ruling classes took power and they didn't have the strength to rule so the Religious hierarchy that was developing revolted against them and took charge

I really enjoyed the ones about the grey knights but they're my favourite chapter so bias and all that

This thread is relevant to my interests, imperial citizen
Will the Mechanicus ever make new technology? Can't they find some way of developing shit without Chaos corrupting it?
And if the problem with tech is Chaos, shouldn't the Chaos cults and legions have great advancements by now?

On the third book of the Night Lords trilogy. Really good. I've read a lot of the Horus Heresy, as well as a bunch of Imperial Guard books and I tend to enjoy them. Love 40k though.

thanks for the input. im new to 40k and want a good starting point so i at least know whats going on and dont get confused by the lore. ill start with some of the omnibuses i guess

Night Lords is a good jumping off point. It gives a look into Chaos, the Imperium, and the Eldar. You walk away with a decent grasp of how things work in the setting.
