so curious what the psychology is behind these pictures. some of them are obvious (cabin in the woods...), but some of them draw a surprisingly emotional reaction from me. im thinking particularly of those images of dimly lit bedrooms with a window. maybe it's snowing.
i think it's the perceived lack of worry/responsibility in the environment presented. most importantly, a lack of guilt and shame. no guilt/shame that we're on here all the time, not going out, because we're locked in due to snow or because our bed is so nice. i don't know.

robots, let me briefly sketch you a situation I find very comfy:

You turn on your PC and run Morrowind, with which you will stay until late hour in the night and finish your adventure in Vvardenfell tonight, killing Dagoth-Ur for the first time. Late at night, you are still gazing in your monitor, being enraptured with it's story, left with that special feeling, after finishing great book. After that you can go to sleep feeling fine once for that few moments in your life - tomorrow is the first day of summer vacation.
That's how I imagine a perfect day, which sadly will never come again, as now I have duties and stress on me 24/7.

Here is a comfy desert hillside picture I took while trekking around Utah. Eventually the moon got so low that it touched the horizon and eventually disappeared. Nothing but the sounds of wind, grass, sand and birds.

Hmmm. It's pretty tropical out here, and temperatures here have been reaching a high of 40 or so degrees centigrade. Humid as fuck, not like your dry hot areas in America.
Still, the most comfy'd be whenever it's raining. You look out the window, you lean against a railing, and everything seems quieter and more peaceful, even if it's raining hard. Everything washes away, and when I'm at work I always take time to appreciate it and watch the waters rush down the large drain opposite my "office".
At night, when you're taking night walks, it's magical when it drizzles. You can just walk in the rain and enjoy the respite from the heat in the day.

I never understood the hate of summer here. I find summer to be the time of year when you have the ability to do whatever you want. I feel like it gives you more opportunity to be comfy than all the other seasons. Just my opinion
I took this, sunday morning. I stayed up all night, woke up at 4 but it was worth the comfy feelings. It cleared up but was still foggy, as the sky changed to light blue. I was sitting in my bed looking through the window in awe.
For the anons that like big cities. I live in Bangkok and shit's pretty comfy sometimes, like standing on our rooftop garden and looking out over this enormous, sprawling city during sunset. Or walking down random side streets grabbing street food for like 60 cents.
