>>
You didn't use your jaw enough. GG
>>
Getting teeth removed isn't bad as long as they knock you out for it, I had all 4 wisdom taken out last summer
>>
Na dont be man. Just had all 4 of mine out. They gave me 4 xanax. 2 for the night before so you can sleep, and 2 for half an hour before you go in. So you feel pretty good when you get there. Then I got the gas but I couldn't really feel it. Only one of my 4 hurt but that was shaped the weirdest and was broken. The others I didn't even feel. The worst part was the sound. It sounded like cracking a strong branch a tree.

Afterwards I felt kind of stupid I was freaked out about it.

But then again I think that Xanax helped a lot.

How does it feel to be on the wrong side of evolution?
>>
>>28050473
getting your wisdom teeth out is more annoying than anything. for a couple of days, your mouth of going to be all bloody and gross. you definitely want to get them removed on a weekend with nothing to do in which you don't have to go and do anything.
>>
I honestly want to get my wisdom teeth out ASAP, because I don't want to have it happen after the DEA regulations restricting opioid prescriptions even further hit.
>>
>>28050564
You know what this means?

You need to breed. But only with a woman with no wisdom teeth. Hurry. Save the human race from a $1000 dental bill.
>>
>>28050516
It's not even that bad if they don't knock you out for it. All you have to do is just make sure to let them know if you're in pain so they can give you more anesthetic, that's the most important part. Otherwise you're entirely numb and it just feels like a lot of weird pressure as they're working the tooth out. I have had all of my top teeth taken out and have a denture, they were really fucked up because I have some genetic condition.

Then afterwards you get to be high as balls on pain medication for a bit, but the shitty part is that you can only eat soft foods.
>>
>>28050589
Hell yeah I just didn't eat anything for 2 days and took painkillers they prescribed me. Lost about 5 lbs.

They didn't give me any pills going in. I sat in the chair, they said "we're gonna put you under now" and gassed me with the mask. I was confused because I didn't feel anything and it wasn't making me sleepy. Then, I blink, and everyone in the room was gone. A nurse lady came in and I mumbled "yo when are we gonna start this thing?" and she laughed and told me they already took out all four teeth.

Sleep gas is weird.
>>
>>28050615
You definitely need to eat, especially on Vicodin. I usually just eat soup for a day or 2. Chicken noodle soup is good because the saltiness helps your socket to be sanitized and heal, same with drinking tea.
>>
>>28050639
Oh well you didn't need pills since you weren't awake. The pills just make you not care that you are awake and this is happening.
>>
>>28050560
>It sounded like cracking a strong branch a tree

That was them breaking your tooth to make it easier to remove. That was my favorite part for some reason. It was prolly the gas though.
I didn't need any pain medication or Xanax, because I wasn't a bitch, but it's an okay experience until you get the bill.

All of that for just 4 teeth? Jesus. I was awake for when they took out all of my top teeth and it was totally fine. I also recently got gum surgery where they surgically open up my gums and break off parts of my jaw bone and then grind it down to be smooth and stitch my gums back up. It was pretty awful but I didn't feel shit.

All of you are kind of sounding like babies in comparison. It makes sense why they kept telling me I was such a good patient and a "trooper" the whole time now lol
>>
Don't worry too much. I didn't even have pain when they removed them from me.
>>
What's weird is I've never had any problem with my wisdom teeth but I'm still really young (will be 19 this year) so I don't know if it will become a problem. But my jaw isn't that big or anything and I haven't even had any problems with pain.

Nice numbers, satan

Besides, when I got my wisdom teeth removed, they just used local anesthesic, and I did felt all the whole damn process, nos pain, but you could feel the noises and the cracking.

And then, two weeks of pain.

In the process, the severes a small nerve and now I feel nothing on a section of my lower lip.

Stupid teeth.

It seems like most dental practices just knock their patients out with nitrous oxide whenever it's an option. Hell, I have a friend who gets the laughing gas for simple cavity fillings. i just got this hell sorted out yesterday
i've had one wisdom tooth removed in june, but i passed out and had a seizure, so i had to have all the others removed under general anaesthetic. all of the wisdom teeth (in my country called the Eighth Teeth) were stuck in my bone and growing horizontally. the one that you see on the x ray that looks fairly normal is actually a Ninth tooth (no idea what are they even called in english). i just left the hospital earlier today. was drugged really well and it didn't even hurt, but i look like a sad onion

>>
>>28050473
The younger you are, the more likely they are underdeveloped and easy to cut out. Besides that, doing it while young gives you a much better chance of the jawbone healing more completely and actually regenerating.

The worst that can commonly happen is a lot of bleeding, which can be fixed with extra stitches. Ubiprofen for the pain, and not eating for a few days.
>>
>>28050473
Tell them to knock you out. I got 4 removed , woke up, and didn't have a clue wtf happened. Feels good man and the meds they give you after are dank.

I had 4 wisdom teeth out taken out without being knocked out. The sound is bad but no pain. I had them out in the morning then ate pizza for dinner.

People just like attention so they ham it up and eat through a straw for a week. Then talk about dry socket meme
>>
>>28050473
Had a nasty case of what you posted and dealt with it couple months back.
Honestly, it's not so bad.
There's gonna be some pain on the first and maybe second day and the whole procedure is a bit grotesque if you're not unconscious like I wasn't, but please don't worry too much anon, it's gonna be fine.
Just stay calm and the whole ordeal will be over before you realize it.
Hopefully you have a mommy to make you soups and shit.

Mine were almost entirely out, he just pulled them out with some pliers. It was done in less than 5 minutes
No stitches required, healed completely in about 5 days

>>28050516

Nah, even if they don't konck you out its not that bad. In Britain we don't general anesthetic for wisdom teeth removals. The most painful part was when they had to inject me 4 times with local anesthetic in my right jaw. After that, its fine, unless you're squimish at the sight of blood and bone sounds. Once they sow'd me up, if hurt a bit at home, at first a lot, but within 3 days I was back to getting drunk, and I'm a pussy. Its more uncomfortable than anything. Also DO NOT BITE DOWN ON YOUR STITCHES TO "SEE WHAT IFT FEELS LIEK". I HURTS LIKE A MOTHER FUCKER.
>>
>>28050828
I do it. $80 and I get high during an uncomfortable experience of some guy drilling around your teeth.

I'd pay it any time. If I could get high while getting my oil changed I'd pay it too.
>>
>>28050792
>needing a reason for a doctor to give you a few xanax for $8.

oh but hurr durr feels so manly to do it without drugs!
>>
>>28052383
We do in Britain. It's just less likely. I turned up to have a local and the dentist refused to hack my gums and smash my tooth apart while I was awake
>>
>>28052728

The NHS won't m8. Getting a wisdom tooth removed is already risky, they won't compound that risk by putting you asleep.
>>
>>28052820
yeah but personally fuck being awake for that. like I don't think i'd have the nerve to be awake for the blood and the bone and the pressure and the noises without puking. which would arguably be worse than being asleep.
>>
>>28052820
Yeah they will. I'm having a wisdom tooth removed under general next month. I had the choice of local, IV sedation or general. I chose local, turned up and the NHS consultant refused to do it unless I was knocked out.
>>
>>28052851

>unconscious after an injection.

Literal what.
>>
>>28051077
I had surgery like this. With plenty of sedation it's not a problem.

But they had to inject quite a bit since my gum was inflammed. (apparently this creates an acidic environment and breaks down the sedation partially) Long story short: just make sure that when they test whether you feel anything you make sure to respond at the slightest feeling.

It doesn'r really hurt. The needles in the beginning are the worst. What really sucked was the drilling because two of them were too crooked to pull out at one. You really need the painkillers though and hope that you have enough GBP left for soup vor something. After one Week you look normal again
>>
I never got wisdom teeth removed.

my jaw and bite is all fucked up I assume they either didn't come in or they did and pushed around the rest and can't tell since already have bad bite and jaw

I legit need like 15K worth of dental work to look normal.
