Replaying dark souls 1 currently In anticipateion. It's been a good year since I've beaten it. Reminds me of the days when I'd come home during lunch just to do a few invasions.

Just beat Japanese Dark Souls 3. You guys are in for an excellent 9.9/10 game. My only complaint is that the first few bosses are easy. One of them is extremely lame (deacons of the deep).

I played Dark Souls 1 and 2 on my Xbox, got a PS3 later just to play Demon's. Honestly it's not very different, and the level design in the first castle area (Boletaria?) is amazing. But after that, I just lose all interest. There's that cave area, and I just get so bored, and then after I kill the giant armored spider I fall asleep. I've tried play Demon's Souls multiple times and always get bored at this part. Last playthrough (attempt) I tried to instead go to the Skelly Fortress and that was pretty coold until I got stun locked by Skellingtons on a narrow cliff side and couldnt move and died. I can't pinpoint what it is about Demon's Souls I dont like but it's just boring to me idk man

Not in my experience, as I said, when I got to the mining area (trying to remember the name but can't) I got extremely bored. The game basically stalled to a halt, and that area is only like an hour in. There's hardly any enemies and the enemies you do fight you have to use a thrusting weapon or it takes 30 seconds to kill on. For comparison about an hour into Dark Souls 1 most people will be in Unread Parish or Darkroot Garden or the Depths and IMO those places are much more exciting than what I saw in Demons Souls.
This is just my opinion though, maybe some people find those areas in Dark Souls extremely boring while the area I mentioned in Demons Sols a lot of fun.

Demons' is on par with Dark, even slightly beneath it. The story has even more plotholes, the setting is more cliche and less unique and most bosses seem to be completely botched and simply bad design. But compared to other games, it's still a real gem.

You can avoid the sword swings by staying close and walking behind them (or just take the hilt to the face, it does less damage than the blade). You can avoid the magic nova thing by blocking with Crest Shield. Most of their damage is magic, not physical (even the swords), so wear your best magic defense gear. Use buffs, resin, green blossom, power within, anything that increases your damage. Then just go mental, it's a damage race, not a boss fight.

Decent build. Armors don't matter much tbqh and having pyromancies is good just because they're not tied to stats really. Grass crest is only good when two handing and lighting spear is a fantastic pve weapon. Has no scaling though so you should move onto a weapon that either scales better or has higher bases with a better move set. Overall though good choices. Rings aren't too important but o recommend ring of favor and protection. It's too good.

Chaos fire ball should be melting a good chunk of their health away if you're dex and endurance try picking up a katana or falchion, putting sunlight blade or even just a resin on it and just r1 spamming them to death. They tried to create a boss that wasn't hard, wasn't very exciting, but instead gave atmosphere. Some people liked it that way, other didn't. I didn't. Honestly, when I read spoilers, it's hard to believe until you see it. During the early access of FFXIV: Heavensward someone spoiled the death of one character, but even though I read it, it didn't mean much.
After grinding endlessly, about the second or third day of early access I finally got to the part of the spoiled. It hit me so fucking hard I had to take a breather.

I find no problems with xbros, but I heard the ds3 framerates were AWFUL along with it being 900p, it can't even maintain 30 fps. I heard there were so many fps dips especially on the Dancer boss fight, it's completely unplayable according to one speedrunner I follow. The xbox is terrible as a multiplat console if it's your main platform.

I've been playing it because I bought it through the gook marketplace exploit and it's fine for the most part. Sometimes it drops to 24fps but the PS4 also drops to 25fps in those areas. It's not like the entire game runs like Blighttown, it's only a few areas I've seen so far which you'll get in any souls game regardless of platform.

I finished the ps4 jap version, the framerates were pretty solid, I only remember getting drops 2-3 times. They weren't jarringly bad. I don't have an xbox myself, those are words from some guy on twitch. I'd recommend against the console in every scenario unless all your RL buddies like xbox over PS for whatever reason.
PSN servers could be better though, but I find playstation to be surprisingly adequate for a console considering my main platform is PC.

Even at the beginning sequences, where nothing is happening, it's like 25-26 fps. that's pretty sad considering it's lower res than ps4's.
it's not too bad though. If you like the xbox, more power to you. You probably don't care if you don't have autism like I do. I say PC all the way if you can figure out how to build one or get a friend to help.

It depends on the game really. I played BF3 at 30 and 60 and to me 60 just looked really unnatural for some reason. I liked the shading and textures a lot more at 30 too.
Bloodborne also consistently drops to 15-20fps and it usually isn't all that noticeable. Maybe I just have really bad eyes.

Yeah, I've been spoiled by an awesome PC with a 144 hz monitor. Watching anime is sometimes painful to my eyes because it seems like a slideshow. Now when I play console games I see shit that annoys me that I never cared about before, like jagged textures.

I get that PC games are much better and all, but then there's shit like hackers to consider - we don't get the god mode hackers in dark souls like you do, or at least absolutely nowhere near as often - and games like Fifa are unplayable because of the widespread Modders online
And then there's things like your game refusing to work because your firewall is shitting itself or two mods conflicting, virus scanner playing up and so much other shit that sometimes means you can't even play the game until you slog through and find that one annoying problem that's stopping you
