I watched a program about evictions and there was this man being forced out of his shitty place by the landlord on the day he was going to the funeral of the last relative he had, with nowhere else to go since the council didn't bother to set up housing for him since he's low priority being a single male.
The place was filthy. Damp had set in all over, the house was pretty much rotten through and unsafe to live in,but imagine if that's all you had. A literal roof over your head.
All they could do was buy him was a week. It was sad.
I imagine how, if things went really south, that man could be me, could be any of us. It makes me appreciate what I got for sure.
All that man had was his pet cats. How fucked up is that? Those cats are also out of a home. They will either eventually die off, or more likely end up in a shelter where they'll probably be euthanised unless they win the cat lottery.
