Paid shills. They work for a company that pays them to spread buzz on 4chan for political reasons. These companies are funded by the government, they want you to think a certain way, they want you to have a specific opinion. It's an old strategy, they're trying to divide and alienate 4chan users. This is why 4chan users are always so fucked up. You are literally being brainwashed and you don't even know it.
They're not advertising a product, they're not trying to sell you anything, they just want to control your way of thinking and your beliefs. That's why it's really difficult to recognize shills from genuine posters on 4chan, because ultimately we are all trying to change your way of thinking. But these stealth marketing companies do this structurally. They lie, they spread misinformation and propaganda.
Shills will spam threads, samefag in threads and argue with you according to the script they were given. When you refute their arguments they have to derail the thread and will often respond with something like >being this autistic. When confronted. They will actively try to get the last word so it looks like their argument won, so their argument looks good in front of the crowd and yours lost. It's all part of their script, they get paid to do this. DO NOT argue if you suspect someone is a shill. Just hide and report the post.
Sometimes there are 2 rival shilling companies that are trying to shill opposing opinions and they end up arguing with each other just to set up a show for you guys. Sometimes they don't even know the other guy is a paid shill aswell and they can't ask because they have to stay sincere. It's ridiculous.
The amount of shills has really skyrocketed recently. About 35% of posts aren't genuine posters anymore. That means about 1 in 3 anons is a paid viral marketer who is sitting in an office and gets paid to argue with you. Do not fall for it.

I was running a couple of low-traffic forums around 2009. Sometime in the spring, I saw a massive jump in registrations.
A lot of the accounts were dormant, but a few posted every now and then. Bland "me, too" or "this." comments that said nothing about the poster or contributed to the discussion...but OK, some people like to lurk. I talked to a couple of other board owners who said they had seen the same thing.
So, I waited.
The first day of August, my forums were suddenly flooded with activity, all people spamming for invites to a filesharing site rhyming with Clockerz.
Not just on my forum, either. Every fucking forum or 'chan I visited was full of spam, some variation of the Success kid meme with text like "POST IN THIS THREAD AND GET INVITE" with a thread populated by bots and all these shills that would immediately attack anyone who complained.
On forums, these accounts complained bitterly that they were members in good standing who had been there for several months. I started aggressively deleting accounts and promptly got DDOSed.
4chan started autobanning permutations of the name (not sure if they still do), and they, too, got DDOSed.

So it's a two part operation.
- Make people hate those on welfare and demand to have it removed, even though (you) have been paying taxes to provide yourself with this welfare when you get old.
- Make people depend on a shrinking welfare net to weaken lower classes financially to make them more receptive to working in worsening conditions to make ends meet when the welfare is removed. People with less self responsibility are easier to transition into whatever agenda you like.

I think I want to add is that when arguing with people about the existence of shillposting and memetic engineering and things such as this, a lot of people tend to strike directly at the topic.
So for example someone in the thread spoke about rampancy of feminist propaganda, but the fault here is that it's designed to be volatile so you are polarized the minute you approach it as an enemy of belief x.
The correct way to do it is skip the ideological combat itself and go right to instructing people of all beliefs and ideologies to question all sources, scrutinize all funding, to consider all options etc.

I think the goal is to just really try to help equip people you know with the tools to study the context and intent of what they read.
Much like robots are filled with self doubt, we have to pass that curse on to others because it protects you from what you read and hear.
It's hard to be turned into a zealot when you have a voice at the back of your head constantly questioning everything that cannot be turned off.
I think that's what need to be spread everywhere, for more purposes than just anti-memetics.
A lot of us fall flat by trying to argue against the ideology but really there's no point, as soon as you remove an infection, another five are seeded, so it is better to cure the problem at the root, which is strengthen a persons mental immune system by adding the capability to self question.

Yeah, they will always move into a new topic, it would be a fight that couldn't really end, but the primary striking point isn't that you're destroying their talking points one by one, it's that you're making the business unreliable and risky.

I think what I'd be looking to do is just pose questions, pose possibilities, release someone from their closed context. A person trapped in a hedonistic cycle adopted from a culture that bred the context for it, made her for it, open her up to question her daily life. Why is she drinking this drink? Why did she spend 80 dollars on drinks today? Why does she have sex very often? Is it worth it? Can this really last? Will I be happy in the future? Why do my friends do a lot of drugs? Are drugs worth it? Why do I waste my money? Why do my friends copy each other on facebook? It sounds so alien explaining this, because robots have had this little demon with them all their lives but he's also been your best protector against all the demons outside.
Once you ignite that chain, you really cannot stop it and you need do nothing else but you also don't stand to benefit personally from this - no one will worship you for freeing another person, you get nothing for yourself except for the thought that we're one person closer to a world where people want to really, truly know things.

Because they don't have a realistic response from any of these, they don't know how to judge it within the limits of the internet. This is why people who try to force their opinion or stance in such a revolutionary manner. They don't have a realistic view of the world. It would also make propoganda through memetics and marketing much more streamline. This is why google changed youtube from being very privite, to linking with your gmail and a lot other personal tools. It's also data trap, so that they can collect any and all data about the life you actually live outside the internet. They want people to loose grip on reality and consume their preplanned information. Google wants tells you what information you can aquire, they don't want you don't decide for yourself.
It was much simpler in the past when people were indivduals. They were involved with an interactive social medium outside of reality. Forums, IRC, pseudonyms, the sharing of data between individuals through choice. That's how it should have stayed. But the hungry boogymen had a different motive. The internet is a above all a tool for the aquisition and sharing of information through each individual user. It is the most useful and pro-human creation ever made. These people don't want you to use it as a tool, they want you to replace and confuse it with reality. Then they want to control the information you recieve in your new reality. Do you see what I'm getting at? Enslavement. We are approaching 1984 with the way people view the internet like they do now. It's it possibly the biggest thing we need to protect.
