Therefore historical facts have no bearing on what the correct political philosophy is. History could have turned out any possible way and it wouldn't change the truth. You could have no understanding of history nor of current politics, but that wouldn't mean that you're political philosophy is wrong. This is the difference between political "ideals" and political "reality."
