So what's talks experiences thus far? I've been "going to uni" for 6 years now thinking about just being a legal secretary or accountant so that I can get paid to pour over some data without being messed with. ISFPs have Se which is whore get drunk party function and Fi which is the "I love my friends so much function"
ENFPs have Ne which is the "LolsorandomxDDDD memes" function and Fi which is the blah blah blah I just mentioned it.
ENFPs are far more adept at having fun by themselves, while a true ISFP will likely need to have a lot of physical stimuli in order to enjoy themselves. Pastimes that offer a lot of physical stimuli often are very extraverted activities such as team sports or parties. While the ENFP is much more prone to developing a deep static curiosity that leads them to spending immense amounts of time reading and thinking (browsing forums dedicated to their interests is a common manifestation). Their minds are very hungry for mental stimuli while ISFPs require a lot of physical stimuli.
ISFJs are even more obvious. Si may manifest as talking to people because it's normal, while Fe often manifests as having amazing social skills and thus deriving immense enjoyment from social situations.
I or E just mean whether they lead with an introverted or extroverted function, not whether they're actual extroverts or not. Some Extraverted functions like Ne do not make people more social than not.

Especially if you suffer from depression. The mind is like an echo chamber. All the negative thoughts bounce around constantly, sucker punching those feels.
You can only keep it back so long until it all bursts out in a tornado of suffering. A mental breakdown so intense it makes others cry. People you don't even know holding back floods of tears around you.
When I had a breakdown at work the other week my boss had to leave the room for a moment to recover.

I've always been a little off. Ever since I was a young child. Had therapy for "confidence issues" since I used to breakdown and cry a lot when I failed at things because I'd put in 100% effort and had crazy high standards.
If course I'd get bullied a lot too. People loved to put me down and outcast me was a weirdo. Even teachers would do it sometimes. Who the fuck abandons a 4 year old from a teddy bear picnic? My mum found me all alone in the cloak room, crying because they excluded me from it. Because I was "different" from my older brother, who's was for most of his life a normie till he got into drugs which fucked him up.
It gets harder to control these feelings. When I was younger I'd have violent outbursts. Shoving a kid into a wall and sending him to hospital, throwing a kid across the field, stabbing a kid with a compass and making him bleed. All done in a mad stupor. So it scares me what I can do when I see red so I strive to be non-aggressive. Progress helps. I find self-worth in it, but times are hard lately. My dad is in hospital for the third time this last few months, and I'm struggling to cope with my work. Not because it's hard, but because it's so easy and boring. I have no outlet. I have a degree I can't use. Just constant stress and its driving me crazy being locked in with my thoughts so much. I have no friends. Everyone I get somewhat close to I drift away from and eventually cut contact. People like me but they don't understand me. It's my fault but I can't let people get close to me. I don't want to be hurt. I don't even like touching or being touched by people outside of family. (I got physically abused by an older student once and I think it messed me up in a suppressed way)

How does one achieve internal silence?
For me, it feels impossible. My brain just never turns off.
It's fine for a while, but then stray negative thoughts just force their way in, and I can't drown them out.
I've tried breathing techs, CBT rationalising, distracting myself, but it doesn't seem to work, at least not for long enough to recover. I just keep buiding up until I can go walk it off for a while.
Trouble is my work is very stationary. People are very boring and anything other than Smalltalk alienates them.
And I'm sick of it. Everyone becomes a archetype. Predictable to a tee. I even finish their sentences for them, and they look at me dumbstruck. But to me, I've had this exact conversation a thousand times before, and body language already tells me what they want.
I'm having a quarter life crisis. I feel like an esper caught in a tornado. A wisp stuck in a cenrifuge. A spectre stuck in a very windy tunnel.

You brain never turns off because you keep using it. You have let your brain, or more accurately thoughts, run wild. The problem with being an INFP is that you feel each thought, and that feeling attaches itself to it. If the thought continues occurring, so does the feeling.
Be conscious of your own thoughts. Zen talks about this kind of thing a lot, and that was what helped me along this path. Everyone walks their own so I don't necessarily recommend it.
A book that helped me was "The Power of Now", which can be classified new age, but the content itself is solid. It's about focusing your attention on what is in front of you, not thoughts.
It's hard to give you advice because in the end you will be the one that decides if any of it has merit or works. I hope anything I said can help; I've had my own quarter-life crisis so I can understand how it feels.

I just read a book called 'singletasking' and in it, it explains how humans can't multitask. What we do instead is task-switching. And that to truly be productive we must focus on things, one at a time. Being present in the moment. Switching off the distractions around us. I'm trying it, but its not easy. I have plenty of free time, but its discipline and focus I need. I just can't seem to find what I truly want to do in life. I gave up trying to choose what I want to do in life and try to just "go with the flow". It's like in Alice in Wonderland where she asks the cat for directions and says where do you want to go? She replies she doesn't care, and he replies than it doesn't matter. In my own way I try to be like that.
Follow your passions, or don't, it's up to you. If you don't have any find something that excites you or compels you to keep going. If it's really what you want, no excuse will get in the way.
I also liked the book Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Khanman. His book presents many things about the human brain; how we are prone to certain biases that cloud our judgement. It's very good, and has a lot of information.

I strongly recommend "How To Win Friends and Influence People," by Dale Carnegie. Really helped me see the potential benefits of trying to take an interest in people (or at least pretending to), and the best ways to go about doing it.
