Indeed, I like taking 12 caps of pic related, sometimes even more. Definitely exceeds the recommended amount but the added intensity makes it well worth it.
Granted, the liver effect is awful, basically the liver has to work harder to filter out all the kavalactones, hence the warning on the label. I prefer kratom for this reason, although kratom has some nightmare withdrawal symptoms.

It's hard to compare it to anything, it's like a light muscle relaxer paired with a dopamine increase (I guess similar to coffee's effect on dopamine, but without the stimulating nature.) However, I recommend buying some instant kava powder instead of caps, because you really need to take a fuckload of capsules to feel the effect like I said earlier, and not everyone's comfortable with swallowing like 20 caps like I am. Also, every kava strain/vendor is hit-or-miss, even kava bars will have some strong batches and other batches that do almost nothing at all. A small meal beforehand helps since kavalactones are fat soluable, and taking stinging nettle and/or milk thistle afterwards will help the liver regen.
