Haven't seen one of these threads in a while so I thought I'd start one.
I just took the test again and got this, I used to get INFP, am I still allowed here?

I still cant handle social situations.

Fuck off with this stupid mbti shit and the horrible selftests that your pour your biased opinion of yourself into
People have a tendency to rate sets of statements as highly accurate for them personally even though the statements could apply to many people, the MBTI test exploits this fact, it is called the forer effect.
>>27057302
ive taken multiple different tests based on the meyers-briggs, and for the most part i seem to fit mine well, especially the negative stuff.

That just further demonstrates the forer effect. You believe the information gives a perfect description but in reality they are purposely vague enough to apply to a large amount of people. Watch this video.

don't just take the test, if you actually want to learn about yourself take some time to learn what the functions actually mean and figure out who you are. These tests are meme tier bullshit. They completely mistype almost everyone and the questions are absolute transparent garbage. Please go and educate yourself instead of subjecting yourself to this trash.

Same here. I'm pretty happy about it. This article is really flattering.

>>27057682
yeah sure someone who gets INTP would totally relate to ESTP because it's so so vague
it's totally random for sure
These personality tests used to piss me off but i guess there's nothing wrong with people wanting to believe in something that attributes positive qualities to them and makes them feel good about themselves.
>>27057823
It does make sense. It is a way to classify people into groups of common converse personality traits (thinking vs feeling, judging vs perceiving, etc) and it doesn't claim to be anything more than that. So I don't get what your problem with it is.
I do think that personality changes over time based on a multitude of factors though. For example, you might feel that you know nothing and as a result you will be more perceiving. After living a perceptive lifestyle for a while, you may feel confident in your observations and become more judging. This may fluctuate back and forth, like I said, depending on many different factors. And then other personality traits seem to stick with people forever. I have always been logical as opposed to feeling. That at least has never changed for me.
Something to think about, if thinking about things suits your personality.
soo what does this mean?

I had the same thought when I did the test, but the results aren't vague at all. They were accurate as fuck. Stop pretending this test is like a horoscope.

Naa you're good, basically a robot masquerading as a normie I bet
taken this test maybe three times in past year, first got ESFP, then ISFP, now I'm an INFP. None of these seem far off, but it clearly calls the science of such tests into question.
I got ENTP.
It seems to fit me but it also seems pretty shit.

It goes deeper than that. Most of the tests and the result descriptions are based on Thinking vs. Feeling and so forth, and that's generally bullshit. Hell, Judging/Perceiving isn't even a function in itself.
The test does nothing more than present how you, when at your most natural state of mind, receive and process information. Everyone has a variation of all the functions, it's not a dichotomy between feeling or thinking. I'm INFJ for example, and my functions are Ni Fe Ti Se, so even though my type name says feeling I still have thinking as a tertiary function (which also happens to be well developed because due to my circumstances growing up there weren't a lot of people I could spend time with to develop my Fe).
How the functions work individually as well as together generally gives certain archetypes and character traits. The test results play on these generalizations hoping that the archetype is correct, but as I said MBTI does not tell you anything else than how you receive and process information, so you might have some INTJ archetype trait (smart, quiet, autistic) even though you're actually some totally different type. You need to look deeper than just what kind of person you are, you need to understand WHY your personality is the way it is.
TLDR don't trust the tests because they are ass. Read up on the functions.

Making music generally. I've already delved a lot into production and composition, and I've sang all my life. Now I'm hoping on getting a guitar/piano to learn songwriting and instrumentation.
