What do you honestly think about him

Presidential candidate. I just hope he surrounds himself with competent advisors

I hate him the least of the contenders

The other options are
>George W. Bush err... Ted Cruz
>Anita Sarkeesian err... Hilarry
>Joseph Stalin err.. Bernie Sanders

I'm a little torn.
He actually genuinely wants to bring back torture, including torturing terrorist families, which is just not right. Everything else is just stuff the media has taken out of context, like the Mosque surveillance and muslim registration. The torture thing is real. If it wasn't, I would love him fully.

Still support him, but eh.

He knows how to exploit people and he's going to continue to do it with the more power he accumulates. I believe in his talking points but I don't believe he will be able to make America great again. Modern capitalism is a global state and can't be reversed or modified by one man.

He talks about our 2nd amendment right all the time, and whenever a protester shows up to one of his rallies he says they are just using their 1st amendment right and he wishes he could talk to them and change their mind. Trump is the best candidate we've had in a while, the only thing I don't like about him is how he supports the Patriot Act. But seeing as how every candidate would've kept that and is an owned shill I don't see a problem with Trump.

donald as a person seems domineering, intelligent, energetic.

as a business man he seems corrupt and greedy.

as potentially a soon to be president i think he'd be a lot like the other ones. the whole party system is weird let alone these elections. the type of person that gains a cult following of people to vote for them, donate money to them (trumps using his money but still), and basically propagate the voters with 'policy' not even really concrete ideas. although trump has a concrete idea about his wall. then once they get elected they're amongst the cultish leaders and politicians who sit around doing god knows what, deciding what and who gets governmental money, deciding what and where the military does, while having a team of people telling them they should back and fund these things to help these people or these nations.

the reality of the world is rather boring nobody is fully in control or knows what the fuck is actually going on they basically just go on what logically makes sense for them - and in politics it's what all everyone is 'speaking' about. it's hard to change the world it really fucking is - and to make big changes for worlds citizens it takes a level of selflessness philanthropists and even with their billions it's still limited in what they can do.
>>
>>27025695
Who this anon?

It pleases my tunnel snake.
>>
I dislike him, but I don't like any of the candidates. Then again, his haters are just about as bad as his fans and I live in a place where Trump got 80% of the vote, so I can say that a good deal of his fans are mostly redneck welfare whores and pretty unintelligent people, generally. They shit on him all the time, especially about shit that doesn't really matter (the way he looks, his personality). It's even worse because they think they're being confrontational and edgy when they just hold fucking centre-left views.

At least Trump fans have the image of being stupid. Bernie Sanders fans are literally the stereotype of "socialists" (I use this because he supports Scandinavian style, which is more or less capitalism plus a safety net) ignoring facts. You can't argue with them, even when you have credible sources to back up his pro-war, pro-Israel, anti-immigrant stance.

The 2nd amendment is always misinterpreted. It doesn't mean everyone in the country has the right to have firearms. That was fabricated by conservatives in like the 70's and 80's. It means that militias can have weapons if they need it.

The only part of his platform I'm aware of is that he's going to crack down on immigration which is great, of course.

Even if he turns out to be a good politician is doesn't really reflect well on America if they elect this boorish cartoon businessmen President. But then again all the other candidates are complete shit too so it doesn't really matter

The 2nd ammendment is there with the intention that the country's primary military force is militias formed by the people, using the armaments privately owned by the people. Therefore, the government can't use military force to oppress it's own people.

This has been rendered obsolete, as the military functions fundamentally very different now, and isn't even used to enforce the governments will on it's own people. It's the police that the 2nd amendment is failing to protect us from.

>>
>>27026820
>>27027048

I'm on the hype-train, but there's not that much he can do anyway. He's saying crazy shit because that's what's working, and anything short of a constitutional amendment or another Supreme Court case won't overturn Roe v. Wade, and the dems won't let either happen. Especially if Barry gets off his ass and nominates a new Justice.

Just watching him in interviews its obvious that his campaign knows that the inflammatory shit he's saying is why he's popular, and to keep saying it, and avoid actual policy at all costs. Duly, his actual policies are a complete mystery. He's playing to win, not so that people know what they're voting for. Looking at his political history, I'd say he's a right-leaning centrist, where the other reps are so far right they're fighting over who's the least reasonable.

And none of this matters, because Trump is inevitable. He's already shown he doesn't care about the unspoken rules, i.e., skipping debates. If he loses, I bet he'll run again in 2020. And if not Trump, he and Bernie have shown that Anti-Establishment is a viable platform, and someone is going to win on it in the next cycle, if not this one.

if it comes to trump vs hillary im convinced hillary will win. democrats will vote hillary and a majority of republicans will vote trump, but there's a large portion of the republican party that doesnt like him at all that i believe would vote for hillary over him.

if by some miracle it's trump vs sanders, id hope that sanders would win, but sanders is probably just as alienating to a lot of voters as trump so i dont know.

i agree that even if trump or bernie doesnt win, this election still marks a turning point in politics. with the rise in popularity of the internet, it's become easier for underdog candidates to get a lot of support. hopefully the next election or the one after that we'll see good antiestablishment candidates that can win.

this election is kind of an IQ test for you merritards and it's not looking good. Serves you right for investing so much into education.

Trump is a danger to peace and prosperity worldwide, an idiot and a clown. A bigoted facist and racist, and only white trailer trash would actually vote for him.

I'm kinda the wants to watch the world burn type though, so I'm really looking forward to get this assclown elected, the international reaction will be hilarious.

But yeah merritards.. I'm afraid you are actually technically retarded.

That's because he's never actually explained any policies. He always just says "Oh, believe me, it's gonna be good...the best...but I uh...can't tell you about it."

Explain, what do you think is the reason of muslim ban, besides racism ?
>>
>>27028093
To avoid becoming Europe. Besides, he doesn't want to "ban Muslims;" He wants to put a temporary ban on countries who declare Islam the state religion.

This is important because those countries are where ISIS operatives currently are. There's no way to tell them apart from other individuals there. Muslim immigration didn't even become a relevant topic until western countries started importing them on their own accord, so what Trump is really against is accepting "refugees." We don't want hundreds of ideologically motivated attacks similar to those in Europe.

I get the feeling he would be a good business partner to have and never talk to unless absolutely necessary.

He also makes me think of that guy. You know that guy. That guy who pops up at a McDonald's 3 minutes before they close, orders a shit load of food, is a complete cunt, and then, calls up the management to have that employee fired because he didn't like her tone of voice and demands special privileges and (in some cases) getting them rather than being told to fuck off because "Customer Service"

I personally believe that whoever the President of the USA is, reflects the dominant personalities you see in the media. With Trump, should he be POTUS, you can expect the level of lies and fake behavior to go through the roof... Unless you don't like that person at all in which case expect faggots trying to make life shit for others for minor things to become a real issue

Maybe because unlimited Muslim immigration has led to massive rapes over in Europe?

Maybe because the ban is temporary? This is the fucking nation that is okay with putting Japs in camps because a few Anime-americans in Hawaii helped a jap pilot.

>What about his stance on torture?
This nation is powered by torture. Operation Phoenix during Vietnam where we raped people with eels, MK Ultra where we took our own citizens hostage for experiments.

Maybe because your 'racism' is a trump supporters 'realism'

1. ISIS and other radicals are sneaking in with the refugees in Europe.

2. It is very hard to properly check these people out, and impossible to check all of them if you bring in tens or hundreds of thousands.

Due to these reasons, why risk it? He wants a -temporary- ban on muslim immigration because ISIS is so widespread out, and until we can stomp them out there is just too much risk in bringing them in.

Tell me this- what benefit do we get by allowing the Muslims in? If you can think of any benefits, do they outweigh the negative (which is the high chance of radicals entering the country and killing people?)

I won't pretend like the US gov't doesn't fuck over its own citizens plenty but in the past American leaders did what the thought they needed to do to carry on the American Dream

Even if they lined their pockets in the process, the main goal was to make our country the strongest so nobody ever fucked with us again, and look at the US now

Pretty high standard of living, people in America think stable electricity flow to their house is simply mandatory as well as clean water and all the other appliances and shit you can go to wal-mart and buy for an 2 hours worth of minimum wage work

People here in America need to stop acting like they give a shit, I think torture is wrong but what the fuck do you think they are gonna do to us if we pussy out now?

Not sure if your post was even agreeing with me on this or not, just ranting at this point
>>
>>27028320
You asked a question, I have an answer.

As far as fakeness goes, in my experience, business men are the most fake individuals you will ever meet trying to sell you on something that can range from great to shit. Trump has had his fair share of this from real estate to Trump steaks and vodka. I believe that general fake behavior of everyone trying to get you to believe their the shit will rise tremendously from what it already is. Americans in general are fake as it is.
>>
I enjoy watching everyone currently in government shit themselves at the prospect of his presidency for all the wrong reasons. When you have your own party AND the opposing party AND the current government band together to stop you you know something's up. Its like they're scared they could be potentially out of work....

Also, liberal tears and the main reason why immigration is even a issue this election cycle. If it wasn't for Trump going BUILD THE WALL DEPORT THEM ALL immigration wouldn't even be a fucking issue; it would've gotten swept under the rug while we got more H1B visa applications approved and Iraqi/Syrian refugees in Idaho and Minnesota. Hell, the Obama administration actually started enforcing deportation orders because of Trump putting pressure on the govt.
>>
>>27028362
The president can't do anything about global warming, anyway. Besides, the US is a relatively clean country. The real polluters, such as China and India, are the ones who are really the least likely do do anything about their pollution, any time soon.
>>
>>27028450
>I believe that general fake behavior of everyone trying to get you to believe their the shit will rise tremendously from what it already is. Americans in general are fake as it is.
Who is less fake than Trump? They have zero dirt on him after decades of high publicity business. The left had to try and turn his old relatives last name because they have absolutely nothing.

No anon. You have massive raw carbon dioxide emissions and the material costs are just off the scales. Sure, China has more environmental problems, but it's not global warming compared to you and they're mainly biting themselves in the ass.

I think since both Democrats are claiming to want to reduce partisanship they might be a more long term solution than Trump starting WW3.

Seems to be half and half from what I can see. His main business he got started after a loan from his father. So I remain skeptical on just how successful and independent of a business man he is

>And still hasn't said something that manages to screw himself.
Because what he says is lucky enough to coincide with the ignorant and just plain moronic views of the US. Immigration, IMO, is hardly an issue. Keeping Muslims out doesn't really seem to be an issue other than to pander to those who live in the middle of nowhere believing that they were at 1 point a risk to terrorists. The US gives BILLIONS in aid to Mexico every year. The US tax payers also spend TRILLIONS over decades to welfare, schooling, jails, hospitals. We'd save money by deporting illegal aliens in the US.

Trump has several options to pay for the Wall.

1.Cut aid and use it instead to pay for the Wall.
2.Tax remittance payments going into Mexico, remittance payments are actually a HUGE economic boom to Mexico.
3.Rip up trade agreements and place Tariffs on goods coming from Mexico.

ISIS spreads Islam through conquering, beheading and raping people

Guess again

>Over a lifetime, the former unlawful immigrants together would receive $9.4 trillion in government benefits and services and pay $3.1 trillion in taxes. They would generate a lifetime fiscal deficit (total benefits minus total taxes) of $6.3 trillion. (All figures are in constant 2010 dollars.) This should be considered a minimum estimate. It probably understates real future costs because it undercounts the number of unlawful immigrants and dependents who will actually receive amnesty and underestimates significantly the future growth in welfare and medical benefits.

Case law is on your side, but the case law is really, really overreaching. There's no sensible way to read it the way they're interpreting it. It all hinges on the two extra commas, which are the most obvious things to fix to make it grammatical, and we even have a version of it (the one ratified, but not the one passed by Congress) with exactly those edits.

A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.
i.e.
Because a well-regulated militia is necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

The first part is exposition; it is not necessary to the meaning of the second. It also very clearly says people, right, and infringed. It does not say militiamen, privilege, and sensibly regulated.

Regardless of what you think it _should_ say, the fact is what is _does_ say is clear, and as a procedural matter. it can be amended if enough people don't like it. Judicial activism is an end run around that.

>rigged

The demographics of the country favoring one candidate over another isn't rigging. Hillary has a massive lead with black, latino, asian, and women voters. Trump has a slight lead with white male voters. 25 years ago, that would have been enough to win him the presidency.

>a country is the same as a religion

Religion is a belief, Americans don't choose to be American they are born American. Assuming you aren't in a shithole with Sharia Law you are choosing to be Muslim. It's perfectly reasonable to criticize and shit talk people for their beliefs.
>>
>>27025050
Trump is literally me in candidate form.
>Want to enforce existing immigration laws.
>Want a huge ass wall to keep out illegals.
>No more importing terrorists with open arms disguising themselves as refugees.
>Protecting free speech.
>Hates political correctness.
>Punish companies that move their headquarters overseas.
>Tariff the shit out of China.
>Hates TPP and NAFTA and wants both repealed.
>Views the declining mental health of the country as a major issue and he wants to fix it.
>Lower taxes for the lower class.
>Hardcore isolationist when it comes to the military.

Man is literally all my views in one candidate. I am still shocked my dream candidate exists. I like how on his website he actually details exactly how he will solve issues unlike other candidates who don't specify what they will do.

The courts have been pretty solid on the 2nd amendment, haven't they? I don't think a federal law that straight-up banned firearms would have a chance in the Supreme Court.

I'll vote for him so I can watch the fastest impeachment in history.

I think he is funny. It would be entertaining to see him as president. Thats all I really care about.

Yes, such a law would not pass muster, but I'm saying even the existing case law is overreaching.

The amendment has been interpreted by courts with the "bear arms" clause being subject to the "militia" clause. A lot of that has to do with the fact that the original version is not grammatical. But they also talk about the supposed intent of the authors.

The actual text seems pretty clear to me, intent be damned, and they should respect what it says and the existing procedure for amending it.
>>
>>27030535
That's because other candidates realize that the president has to work with Congress, and their agenda will inevitably be bogged down thanks to opposition within their own party and from the opposing party. Trump's "wall bill" would never get through Congress. Same goes for his plan to "tariff the shit out of China", which would seriously hurt American consumers (especially the lower classes). And he can't just unilaterally pull the US out of NAFTA, the Senate would have to approve it.

No i was born and raised by a muslim family but i consume too much american media that i daydream about the life scenarios when i move there. My problem is, i'm not from a religious country, but i'm religious, but i want to be surrounded by americans.

I'm supporting trump because the other candidates are likely to pander to the largest audience and they've also started to copy trump a bit.
Trump is also the only guy that stands a chance against the normalfag media and hordes voting for Hillary for no reason other than to feel good about themselves.

Even if trump does absolutely fuck all for 8 years he'd still benefit the country by making the libtards leave.
We'll probably still get the wall though. No way he'd not build it.

Anything other than Hillary. She'll end up attacking Russia at worst and at best we'll have another 8 years of trigger warnings and safe spaces to deal with.

He says he will put before Congress the NAFTA repeal. He says if the US pays for the wall instead of Mexico he would just pull all aid to Mexico and use those funds to build it instead.
He can already deport illegals because the laws already exist. President Eisenhower did it with Operation Wetback so it is not like it has not been done before and it costed very little to do.
>>
>>27030608
I don't personally have anything against Muslims, but you need to understand where people like Trump are coming from. They are terrified of you. Depending on what country you're from, there's a decent chance you believe that Shariah law should be imposed on whatever country you migrate to. They don't want to take the risk of having a situation like Europe, where Muslims openly reject the culture of the country and call for the destruction of the West while sending their kids to taxpayer funded schools and collecting welfare checks.
>>
>>27030608
Depending on what American media you consume it is probably a lot of bullshit. America is nice though because you have freedom. Even though I shit talk Muslims I think they have every right to be Muslim. The First Amendment gives the right to free speech and free religion so the way I see it is that we can believe whatever we want but if something you believe is flawed you can get called out for it.

>He says if the US pays for the wall instead of Mexico he would just pull all aid to Mexico and use those funds to build it instead.

And you don't see any downside to destroying US-Mexico relations at a time when China is increasing investment in Central America? Of all the ways to fund this wall, why choose the one that will anger the Mexicans the most? And I still don't think that he would get congressional approval either way.
>>
>>27030535
I didn't know a lot of that. I might have to read up on him.

I don't get all the multiculturalism human rights bullshit. I don't mean not torturing people, or making sure your own citizens are cared for. People outside your borders aren't your fucking responsibility though.

There is nothing wrong with being isolationist or nationalist if you're not going around fucking with other countries. People should preserve their own identity and culture first.

He's right though. You're choosing to be religious. You didn't address that point.

Even if you and a lot of people don't believe them, your religion and a good percentage of its followers express some pretty hateful ideas. Why is it wrong to criticize people who continue to associate with that?
>>
>>27030772
He wants to dramatically raise tariffs, which would increase prices for most consumer goods, while simultaneously lowering the corporate tax rate.

Please, we're not the problem, the religion isn't the problem. Do you even know why those terrorists do that stuffs ? Why is being religious really looked down upon in america ? You guys were always about christianity. What if i'm a christian and very religious ? You guys refuse to really look at the problem to the very roots. The terrorist are not the majority of muslims. The majority of muslims doesn't hate america because we just don't have any reason to. Please understand this don't feel good about belittling someone.
>>
>>27030924
It's not really a good idea. Raising tariffs will kick off a "trade war" where other countries raise tariffs against American goods, so you'll be hurting American consumers and producers. Lowering the corporate tax rate isn't good unless it also comes with closing a lot of tax loopholes that enable many corporations to pay far less in taxes than they're legally required to.
>>
>>27030772
His main goals:
>Lower corporate tax dramatically in the US to encourage companies to stop moving headquarters overseas.
>Give tax benefits to companies that create high paying jobs in the US.
>Give tax benefits for making products inside the US.
>End companies abusing H1B visas to hire overseas workers with STEM degrees so they don't lower pay for middle class workers.
>Lower taxes for the lower class and middle class.
>If making 25k or less and single literally pay zero taxes in federal income tax.
>End all tax loopholes and raise taxes for the upper class.
>Simplify taxes to make them easier to understand.
>Abolish death tax.
>Tariff items made overseas.
>>
>>27030930
>Please, we're not the problem, the religion isn't the problem.

If the religion isn't the problem, then why are there so many radical Muslims who have been born and raised in Europe?

>Why is being religious really looked down upon in america ? You guys were always about christianity.

Our government is secular, and has been from the very beginning.
>>
>>27030930
It's not just terrorists though, there are entire countries that kill people for apostasy and cut off limbs for theft. They also kill gays and beat women. You really can't separate that from your religion. Also the terrorism IS connected to Islam whether you like it or not it really does stem from Islam. Also lots of people criticize and demean Christians in America. I laugh at Christian jokes all the time. Of course Christians don't have nearly as many Terrorist acts committed in their name either.
>>
>>27030986

The idea is that capitalism will encourage businesses inside to innovate and fill the gaps left by now-pricier foreign goods. As the anon here: >>27031002
explains employers will be motivated to create good, well-paying jobs and the lower-middle class stops getting shanked. I sure hope he does stick to abolishing the tax loopholes though.

Can somebody breakdown Bernie's economic ideas in the same way?
>>
>>27030986

They already have tarriffs against US made goods, Europe has them, Japan has them, China has them and even fucking Mexico has them. Why not us against them?

>>27030930

Call them "bad" Christians if you want but Christians don't go around killing gays and keeping sex slaves because their book said it's okay, Muslims do.
>Not all Muslims
Give them time and numbers, they're "peaceful" now in Europe but as their numbers grow, just look at Paris.
>>
>>27031088

Maybe the religion is relatively violent because we destabilized the whole region for short-term gains? Religion holds people together. When religions become more powerful than states they tend to get a little nasty
>>
>>27031027
It really isn't, terrorism is purely political and like revenge. No muslim wants islam supremacy, it's even in the book, that differences is good and it's god's will that people are different. There are also verses about how sinful it is to kill, hurt, and even offend people. And no, it's actually the country's fault, some countries has fucked up culture, you have to believe that. Please i don't belong here i want to move out. You can talk to any indonesians about what you said, no one wants islam supremacy no one wants war and blood, it was never the mission of the religion.
>>
>>27030930
I never said most Muslims are terrorists or that most Muslims hate America.

There is actual data though about popular beliefs in the Muslim world. A pretty high percentage - probably at least 30% worldwide and 50% in the Middle East - of Muslims say they support Sharia. Sharia is in direct opposition to the freedoms enshrined in the Bill of Rights.

You've really not bothered to understand the arguments prominent atheists make about Islam. You demanding your own freedom of religion is ironic, given that "the majority of modern Muslim scholars continue to hold the traditional view that the death penalty for apostasy is required by the two primary sources of Sharia" [wikipedia].
>>
>>27031128
>Maybe the religion is relatively violent because we destabilized the whole region
>WE

That region has never been stable, long before America existed it wasn't stable. If America ceased to exist today, 20 years from now it wouldn't be stable. Islam is the problem, not US.
>>
>>27031088
Well indonesia has the largest number of muslims but gay people walks around freely here. Just because some fucked up people and culture do that doesn't mean the whole group does that. The book doesn't tell people to kill anyone. And no, sex slaves are wrong in any religion. Omg please, people.
