I think this is something a lot of people don't understand about trans people. If there was some magical pill that could completely rid me of my dysphoria, I'd do just about anything for it. No one wants to spend years transitioning, no one wants to spend huge amounts of money on hormones, surgeries, and therapy. No one wants to be treated like a freak by people. But studies have shown that gender dysphoria, in the vast majority of cases, does not just go away by suppressing it or taking some wonder-pill. Transitioning is the best option.

I feel like people affected by gender dysphoria will always be depressed. They will be depressed after transition because they won't be accepted by a majority and they will be depressed if they stay in the "wrong body". Doesn't matter. IMO the best thing is therapy and learn to love who you are and that gender doesn't really matter that much.
