Tongue scrapers work, but you can get nearly the same result with a spoon and a lot of tooth-brushes have tongue scrapers on the reverse side of the head now.
Anything that gets the dead skin off your tongue will better your breath but nothing beats brushing frequently and a sample-size mouthwash to carry when you're out.

Face it, beards only look good on certain people, and they do require some maintenance. A fuzzy patch of goat-like hair on a baby faced kid or patchy uneven fuzz on a triple chinned uggo aren't things you want to see more often are they?
Using a safety razor with decent blades you can get a shave so close youre face actually glows the day of. I'm staying clean-shaven, ya'll can follow the facial hair train
