Previous thread hit image limit.

I felt the one Egon Schiele painting was insufficient.

More Secessionist Art incoming

Gustav Klimt was an older mentor of Egon Schiele.

Both artists were wiped out in the Spanish Flu epidemic of 1918.

Here's one from Augustus Vincent Tack.

I know very little about art, but I'm writing a paper on him and I saw your thread, so I thought I might as well contribute.

Mondrian probably gets shit from all you modern art haters but his early stuff showed he really did start from a traditional route

Porn is art to me. Not that photo though. I just imagine most of porn like JAV and parodies must be fun as fuck to direct.

Der Kuss has to be one of the most beautiful pieces of art that I have ever laid eyes on. Klimt was a genius.

I have never liked Klimnt or whatever his name is, dunno why, it just has never moved me.
>>24981805
This thread has made me realize my art knowledge and collection is pleb tier. I have Warhol in my bedroom. I have a Matisse in my hallway but I don't like it, I want a different Matisse. I also have the Raphael Cartoons in my living room.

I don't like to discuss art on 4chan because the post after post of realist shit just pisses me off. Buy a fucking camera if that's what you want.
>>
>>24982794
There seems to be a shared belief amongst 4channers, robots especially, that art can only ever be Oath of the Horatii or Interior Semiotics.
>>
>I have never liked Klimnt or whatever his name

Um, maybe it's because you're a fricking robot, with no soul? Klimt is awesome.

I agree about the hyperrealism. It's talented but it doesn't say much.

Well Matisse is arguably more abstract than Klimt therefore you can't say it's because I don't understand it. It's just a personal thing for me, I'm sure it's good art.
>>

Post more blue era Picasso pls
>>

Yeah I like Picasso. Never mentioned him because I don't have any paintings of his.

Nobody wants depressing paintings. That's why nobody liked Goya either.

>tfw critics hate your blue/green colors but it's the only thing letting you release some of the horrible pain and grief
