That's not really your own personal space with as much room as a spaceship as described by op, of for example the bebop.
Sure it's similar, but it's not as interesting or cool. It's basically sitting all day and steering, a very numbing down job where you don't have to think a lot. Also you only get to drive around the streets that you are allowed to; alot of big semis aren't allowed on urban streets because they wear the streets down fast and are too big for bridges.
To me it wouldn't feel the same, it wouldn't have that space aspect to it, and you'd also have to sit in that cabin all day, the beds aren't very big... I don't know man, it wouldn't fulfill the same way, I don't think.
