90% of reboots of old series or remakes of older movies are pure 100% nostalgia pandering.
like that terminator movie was nothing but random cheesy memorable arnold lines and like the entire movie was done in post.
i was 100% sure that this movie would be an almost direct rip of one of the original trilogy movies with a bunch of dumb "muh star wars pop culture quirks and references XD" and from what i am hearing, i am right.
the original trilogy was a breakthrough, one of a kind thing back then, but definitely not for its plot, dialogue, character development, or just general aspects of making any sense. now that the new trilogy can't even make the things the original trilogy DID do well (score, setting, universe building, etc) its obviously shit.
