That's the problem with working too hard for a while - regardless of whether you get any benefit from it, you're going to be expected to fire on all cylinders at all times.
You'd probably be best off easing down the amount of work you get done so that it doesn't look as though you're suddenly dropping everything, and finding opportunities to not have to take the extra workload. Usually I do this by putting 'fake' work on my machine, making it look like there's more things processing than actually are.
Plus point I have is that if my company wanted to send anyone to Japan, I'm the only one with any knowledge of nihongo, even if I'm awful at it.
And as a side note coming from someone non-Welsh living in Wales, I can't fucking stand how much people circlejerk over Rugby here. Every single fucker seems to treat it like the best thing ever just because they're not entirely hopeless at it.

I could actually list off the three occasions:
1) BMW 4x4 weaves into my lane, slams brakes on and catches me off-guard
2) Merc 4x4 jumps a small roundabout, wind up having to slow almost to a halt in the middle to avoid them
3) Someone had gone into a speed limit sign on a road I'd not been down before - not knowing the speed, I followed a regular BMW and apparently was 'speeding by quite a bit'.
When I did pass, I only had one minor infraction, so it annoyed me quite a bit I had to do the thing four times. Compared to my car license which I got first time but only one minor away from a failure.

That was on the outskirts heading back in to the city, and it was a transfer from a 60mph area to a 40mph via roundabout. Similar road to the one leading out of my town (which, coincidentally, changed from a 60 to a 40 three months ago) so I didn't see anything wrong with it.
When you get further along it gets pretty built up, so you'd see the mistake there.
I'd link the road, but apparently since then (has been a few years) the 60 has become 40 and the rest is now 30, even while there's nothing at all around. No fun allowed.
