Yea it is nice once you get to 50k but before that you have to work for years at minimum wage doing terrible hours on long days including bank holidays, weekends, I had to work Easter Sunday every year when i was there even though the store was closed and literally nobody else int he country is working. By the time you get to 50k you'll be like 40 years old and if you are a dude your body will be fucked from all the physical work that goes into it.
Some people enjoy working their ways up in retail jobs and if you are into that Wickes is probably a good place for you but it is not easy to get to that money.
In contrast to that wen I worked at a bank the manager was on about 25k a year I think, compared to me who started at 15k. People would work so hard and jump through so many hoops for 5-10 years to try to get a manager role and for such shit money. The conditions and perks were much much better than Wickes obviously, it was better for one of the drones but I don't know why anyone would want to be a manager there based on the money.

There is this fat ugly tumblr tier dyke named Daphne always on the Cardiff/Bristol train who gets off on doing you out of money. The station I get on at in Bristol is tiny and the ticket machine hardly ever works so sometimes you have to get on with no ticket and this bitch always has a pop at people and tries to fine them for buying their ticket on the train.
i've never let her fuck me but my mate who is a bit shy and spergy couldn't get a ticket at the office so got on train to buy one and Daphnee's card machine wouldn't work and he had no cash so she gave him a 50 quid fine to pay at the train station plus the 20 quid ticket. She tried to do me once from Cardiff to Bristol because the train was at Platform 0 which you don't need a ticket to get into and I was running late so I had to run to get the train then when I sat down told her I needed to buy a ticket and she started threatening she was going to fine me but II knew her game so stood up for myself and got her to just sell met he ticket.
