I'm with you was her only song I tolerated because I could relate to it. Sk8ter Boy was fucking terrible imo, and hearing Staceys sing it in HS made it even worse.

I really loved that song before it became an actual meme, same with Drowning Pool.
Also My Chemical Romance's WHEN I WAS, but that was a year or two after 2005.
Plus it was so surreal that something like Korn's Freak On A Leash actually surpassed N'Sync on MTV in terms of popularity.
Then there was the whole pop-punk thing as well. I'll dump some of that as well.
>>24595317

;_; I'll never grow up \m/

>mfw Eminem and Limp Bizkit were at one point totally hardcore and edgy and even normies were like "whoa man don't bring a gun to school and shoot us okay haha"
>mfw I have no face
I mean the Rollin/Nookie era was also when they were losing their edge but also became the most mainstream, but their first album Three Dollar Bill Yall was fairly brutal for nu-metal standards.

Do you like their new music? Or do you still just listen to the classics?
I'm the latter with most nu-metal bands. I can still listen to Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory from start to finish without skipping a track and enjoying every second of it, and other bands/albums like Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson and the first two My Chemical Romance albums.
but for some reason anything that they put out after like 2004 just became unbearable to my ears.
I think the only band from those days to have aged well, imo, is Rammstein. Appparently's MM's latest album is good too but his last two or three were just awful.

I only enjoy Korn's self titled album and a few other old ones. I can't stand Crawling in my skin.
MM old stuff is so good in the fact that it reminds me when I was in the whole "yeah christianity is social cancer hue hue" feel but I still love it. His new album is alright, went to a few of his concerts and he is trying but so many years of drugs really takes a toll. Korn has aged really well. One of their guitarists "Head" released a book "Save me from myself" which is very good. KoRn is definitely one of my favorite bands now.

yes yes yes 1000 times yes! fucking love this track. so good

So?
How is that better?
At least back then there was a thriving alternative culture in the mainstream which was even more important since there was no real internet compared to today and kids could just turn on the radio and watch TV to find something that wasn't just AY GIRL I WANNA I HOLD YOUR HAND LOOK AT MY MONEY I WANNA TOUCH YOUR BOOOTY

Bro, I don't even know...
It was really trashy. I mean, take a look how simplistic normie dress code was then to now. I wonder what the aesthetic will be in five years.
>>24594369
These threads piss me off. When I see music posted that still seems fresh even though it's over a decade old, it makes me feel.
>>24596307
desu that was never really one of my favorite songs of his, a good song though like everything he's done but after Johnny Cash covered it and it was overplayed all over the the TV & radio and all the normies were like OMMMGGGG THIS IS SO DEEP AND GOOD ONLY JOHNNY CASH COULD WRITE A SONG LIKE THIS AND I DON'T EVEN LIKE COUNTRY MUSIC NORMALLY, WHO ARE THESE NINE INCH NAILS THAT DID A TERRIBLE COVER OF IT? I just couldn't stand even the original song anymore.
>>24596381
hey all music is fresh if you've never heard it before
