I am really fucking tired of this; waiters don't get paid minimum wage! Give them all your money meme. Once you hit a certain amount of tips, you put a percentage into a pool for the other employees. If someone doesn't get tipped enough, they still make minimum wage, it just comes out of the pool. Most waiters make ABOVE minimum wage. And most don't report the full amount of their tips anyways, so that they're percentage is lower.
But even with all that in mind the most important thing to remember is this; there are other jobs out there. A job is NOT an obligation. You signed your ass up for it, you agreed to the terms. Find another job.

The catch is that theres no record in my restaurant for how much cash I am left in cash tips, so come tax day it is left to my discretion of how much I want to claim.
