I'm used to people saying "have a nice day / evening" after serving me, I say "you too" automatically at this point. Only about every one in a hundred times does somebody say something different, and I usually catch myself, but sometimes I just slip up.

Oh, thank God. I thought I was the only person who has accidentally tried to shake a server's hand. My family still makes fun of me for it to this day.
