>someone is afforded an opportunity in a field because of their looks or family connections
>this opportunity translates into experience
>real skills in this field develop over time
>these people marry other good looking or wealthy people
>their children are also good looking or wealthy
>these children enjoy the benefits of successful and intelligent parents
>the cycle continues
We are out in the cold, robots. We never stood a chance.

Ehh, nepotism can get you a job but it can't fix shitty social skills or make you enjoy working. Won't do shit for relationships either.

I remember saving this flowchart and thinking "Fuck yeah, free will!" But I actually do agree with everything you've said (and it does apply to other things like intelligence, athleticism, etc.). Look at the most successful people in the world. Occasionally you'll see an Oprah--that is, a fat, ugly nigger from a shitty family who still worked her ass off and eventually became a billionaire and icon for nignog women. But that's 0.00001% of all success stories and even then, she did it with a genetic gift that rarely gets discussed (emotional intelligence).

Yeah, there are some people who can break the cycle, but it's tremendously hard to get that first foot in the door sometimes. If you can just get a bit of leverage you can transform your life. One advantage leads into another.
But those first few years are the most precarious. That's when you don't have the support system to absorb setbacks.
Example
>person wants to lose weight
poor, ugly, uneducated
>no money for gym or supplements
>no knowledge of training or diet
>family is made up of misanthropes who want to see you fail
>strangers less likely to help ugly fat people
good looking, wealthy person wants to lose weight
>gym membership cost is trivial, may have equipment at home or have friends in industry
>social circle has outgoing healthy-minded people who will provide advice and encouragement
>family also encourages and actively helps to accomplish goals
>strangers more likely to help good looking fat person
And it goes on and on for many other things.
If you want a different theoretical situation
>three men are in an ancient military
>two average sized, one much larger
>they enter a battle
>all three are unlikely to survive
>large man has slightly higher chance of survival due to his size
>he barely survives, the other two die
>another battle, two more average men join him
>his chance of survival in this battle is much higher due to experience
>he again survives, the other two die
>a third battle
>he is now a grizzled veteran, and much more skilled than the average soldier
By this point one could say "oh he's just some big dude, that's all he's got going for him". But that would not be the truth. His size is what got him through his first testing, but after that his knowledge and experience snowballed to the point where even if he did not have his size he would still be a much more formidable warrior than the average.
Other thing to think about.
>Genetics only play so much of a role in physical attractiveness and fitness
>Intelligent and driven people will tend to take better care of their bodies compared to dumb and lazy people
thus
>pretty people are smarter than ugly people
Is true.
And if you've seen photos of some celebrities with no makeup in cheap clothes you can tell they are no better looking than the goblins you at a Wal-mart. But they know how to bring out their potential when it calls for it.
