Learning that the love of my life got pregnant with another man's child was actually one of the best days of my life. Made me think, "Okay, that's over, then, there's just no chance that she's going to be apart of my life. I can do and care about something else now." There were some bad feels, of course, but overall it felt like I was finally free to have my own, real life without having to constantly think of the possibility of having her in it at some point.
