i always judged my university subject by looking at its usefullness its practicality and its scientific rigor
but i cant bring myself to really enjoy studying associated subjects
should i just dont give a shit about "muh contribution to society" to just pursue philosophy at my university ?
im not an amerifag so the study time itself wont bring me any financial problems and my parents are willing to pay for anything im interested in
tell me your opinion about the serious pursue of philosophy

>academia in a nutshell: publish or perish
>Stop identifying with your ego.
>Realize that death is an illusion and that you are the essence of the universe and not just its form.
>Ignore the ebb and flow of jealousy, anxiety and tension. Realize that these feelings are unstoppable and you have no control of them.
>Realize that you are everyone at once.
>Realize that death is an illusion as well as pain. You hold the power to imagine and attain and emotion within your minds eye. All of the beauty and pleasures of your past are always with you. The anxiety and depression you feel is you identifying too seriously with conscious thought. Let yourself flow. Let yourself go.
Let yourself know.

Do what you want man. I'm studying math and philosophy and having a lot of fun learning. Philosophy is a broad subject though, there's a lot of different approaches to answer questions that science hasn't/can't get to.

Pretty sure OP was talking about western philosophy, not eastern. Tried that meme anyway, didn't work for me.
