Here. Parents chose their careers over raising me and my brother. I can say with certainty I've spent atleast 9/10ths of my time home either home alone or with my brother. My mom is gone all week, and does things with her friends on the weekends and my dad dissappears for months on ski trips and what not.
Their not bad people, and they are pleasant enough when I do spend time with them. It's just they were never involved in my life. Video games, tv, books, and the Internet raised me. I'm 18 and my bro is 20, were both neet and massive failures of life. No one ever taught me how to live, I just have memes. It's honestly not that bad, It could be a lot worse. And I get to be comfy in the upper middle class, but I wish I had a parental figure growing up. At least I'm good at cooking now.

Damn dude. Yeah, this DOES fuck up a child. Similar thing happened to me except they weren't THAT absent, but we were poor. Mostly I wasn't allowed to bother them in any way and they were extremely busy. They kept talking and being stressed out about work and money, and it stressed me out too and I knew I was expensive, so sometimes I just didn't want to be seen desu heh. :/

4chan raised me from 12 onwards
I mostly spent my time locked in my room in fear that my parents may want to start a fight with me over the condition of the house/to let off some steam. So I stuck to playing video games and watching amvs. then I found /b/ around 2006. I laughed a lot and was desensitized by all the porn and gore. Looking back now it probably messed with my social development. I hung out with druggies at school even though I didnt do drugs, they were just the only ones to find my talking topics tolerable. I tried to stay off of 4chan as I went through high school, was doing pretty well until I got my first girlfriend after high school around age 19. by 20 I was no longer a kissless virgin. then she cheated on me after two or three years, one of those years we were living together. now I'm back on 4chan, shitposting, where I belong. Apologies for the blogpost
I started going on the internet unattended when I was 8. Back then it was mostly chat rooms.

First by movies, vidya and bands. Family had lots of bands so it was interesting to follow. Internet wasnt really a thing in my early years.
Then internet entered my life, then eventually 4chan.
Gotta wonder what would have been different if my parents didnt choose to work over everything else and be away from home 90% of the time.
