Typically people would never want to be present during a mass shooting, but that's because they never realised how much it could actually help them.
So what could actually happen if you're there when someone starts shooting up the place?
1. You get shot. If you die, then that's good, you just die. However if you survive which is likely since most mass shooters have horrible aim and don't know how to finish a person off, prepare to get media coverage and rake in the donations if the shooting gets enough national coverage.
2. You run away like a pussy when you hear or see that a shooting is taking place, you get to survive but you will likely get no benefits at all, so there's no point.
3. You perform a heroic act. No, seriously. Remember this faggot in pic related? He verbally confronted Chris Harper-Mercer during the Oregon college shooting of last year, blocked a door to protect people and got shot several times but survived (remember, about half of all mass shooting victims tend to survive). He got media coverage and got rich as fuck due to donations. Just do ANYTHING instead of being a fucking pussy. If you die, then it's just as I said, it doesn't matter. You're already dead.
Now yes, the chance of being actually involved in a mass shooting is quite low, but if someone wanted to make another person rich for some reason, this kind of set-up could easily be arranged. Have a suicidal person obtain guns and shoot up a school and when he has killed ~10 people (enough to make the shooting nationally relevant), have the person who wants the benefits act in some form: confront the shooter while there are witnesses, get shot with a low caliber gun so you're practically guaranteed to survive, combine this with escorting people to safety but with having the guarantee that the shooter will not shoot you to kill.
Just think about it. If two robots were to do this, one of them would die but the other one could get hundreds of thousands of dollars with such an act.
