Yeah I pretty much do that. I try to be pleasant when I have to talk to them, but never become too friendly. I never tell them anything personal, deflect everything with jokes, never ask them anything I don't need to know. I don't make time for them, I forget everything personal they tell me. If they try to talk to me too much I cut them off with jokes and try to annoy them. They get the hint. Worst comes to worst, I just start sperging out (be myself in other words, heh) and they'll stop.
That's fine for work, but it's frankly getting difficult for women your friends are friend with, or their girlfriends, etc. Same thing but I try being careful not getting stuck with them anywhere for too long.

I talk to women only when necessary and with the usual business and pleasantries. I'm a wage-slave retail faggot so of course I deal with them a lot, but no more than the basics.
I "look at women" online in porn. In person, I try to keep it only from the neck up. I slip up sometimes, especially in Summer when the skirts, short shorts and open toe sandals come out.
I've seen a few insanely hot women at the mall and at work, but I know I can find even hotter online. That's all I need, and I don't want to be labeled a "creeper" for being born with less than great genetics.

The few times women have showed any interest in me around other people, those people were confused and kind of shocked when I ignored it and politely played it off. It's like they thought she was some goddess and I was a piece of shit or something, Do it often enough and they get mad.
This one time a waitress, very cute but not outright hot, girl next door type, gave me her number on my receipt. My friends saw and told me to wait 2 or 3 days before texting or calling. I said "nah" and balled it up and threw it away. They shit bricks and called me a faggot. I said "don't get your hopes up" and explained to them that she probably overheard us talking about someone I know who is majoring in medicine and mistakenly thought I was talking about myself. I said "she was different to me after that, remember?" and they realized I was probably right and said they were sorry.
At some point, you'll be kind of persecuted or at least ostracized. As a man, society wants you to kowtow to women and seek their approval. They make women, and their opinions of you, the gatekeepers to a man's social and moral standing. If women don't like you, or you don't want women, then they'll eventually hate you or at least avoid you.
