I have done things like this. For years I couldn't be in any kind of social situation or any where where there might be a lot of people, so this meant it was difficult to do basic tasks like grocery shopping. And I was gradually exposed to those things. I can also now look at pictures of genitalia when I couldn't do that before for example. I am hopeful that one day I will be able to have sex, but I can't right now. I don't appreciate when people tell me that I should just be able to do it when they have no knowledge of my situation.

How do you get better at anything? you just do it. Find a nice guy and ease your self into it. gradually escalate each time until you are comfortable, but make a concerned effort to stay in longer each time.
