I tried animation with photoshop but had issues with it. I know that's the fix to making the animations as real as the source pics, ie the ones I posted above.

Thanks. If you want to save the original files and let someone else drop them into photoshop to make the gif it should come out a lot better. I know the basic technique but it just wasn't working right so....
But then again, I know how to compile this stuff into a video and convert to WebM so I might just skip gifs in photoshop altogether.

Ok, I compiled an mp4 video and am converting to WebM now. The video looks a lot better than the gif. I have Sorensen Squeeze but haven't installed it yet. I'm using an online converter and apparently it takes a while to do the conversion. I'll post the WebM as soon as it's ready.

Got to the point with the timeline at bottom but it kept only giving me the first frame in the photo stack in the timeline. And it wouldn't let me drag additional frames down as would seem to be the intuitive way adobe should've set it up. Where do I start?

I actually prefer to do the stylized/filtered shops and animations. But I suspected there may have been some out there thinking I only did that because I "couldn't" do ones that look real.
So I wanted to do a few like that. And it's a real frustration when you've got the product but can't output it where everyone can see it easily. The guy who downloaded the mp4 above knows but nobody can actually see what he did on the gifs here.

Good news / meh news. I was able to get photoshop working for animation. That's the good news. This shop turned out ok but it can be better. I've said before the ones with severe suckmarks on the jaw can be a little tough to animate and that shows. I'm also kind of burned for tonight and that didn't help. But all in all, this is good news for you guys wanting realistic looking animations. But still, you haven't seen anything yet.
