Welcome to Banished Quest!
You take the role of a young mage labeled a criminal by his people and cast out into the wider world. In the last thread you ascended beyond your mortal confines, returned to your companions, and revealed what a horny bastard you secretly are.
It is currently the 30th of Svarthi, in the year 936 NH.

Notes:
Using names or trips in this quest is heavily discouraged. While it is impossible for me to prevent you from doing so, I ask that you not. I will also not count any votes made while using names or trips.
You sit in the courtyard of your family's palace surrounded by your companions and entirely nude. This was perhaps a foreseeable consequence of having your draconic skin burn away your skin and flesh such that your companions might collectively repair the damage you'd previously caused yourself in order to ensure your survival in a conflict against an ancient monstrosity from beyond the mortal realm. At some point, it might be worthwhile to take the time necessary in order to enchant a set of clothes with the reinforce rune, because you feel like this is becoming an all too common occurrence.
Normally this would be a remarkably uncomfortable situation, and in some ways it is. The deserts of Pidjata grow remarkably cold once deprived of the sun's warmth, and tonight is no different. However, you have neither the time nor the inclination to feel any sort of embarrassment regarding your present state of undress. Because you have sprouted a set of horns. Each one is perhaps a foot long. They flare out to either side of your head before curving down and inwards. The tips of both are sharp enough that they'd likely cause quite a lot of damage if you could put enough force behind them.
Gripping your new horns, you find them curiously warm to the touch. You suppose that blood flows through them just as anywhere else. As a test you give them a firm tug forward. It doesn't hurt, but you find it's remarkably easy to twist your head about by pulling on either of the bony protrusions. That may prove a disadvantage should you ever be forced to engage someone with your fist. They also pose issues regarding your various armors. None of your helmets have spaces cut in the side to allow horns to pass through, and even if they did it would seem nearly impossible to fit a helmet over both horns.
These logistical issues aside, how in Pani's name are you going to explain this to your mother and father? How will you explain this to society at large? Will they think you a freak, or does the common man still recall those tales of Surya's Children charging at the vanguard of the Hiacian formation to crush the armies of Rhynia?
At least Zahak seems enthusiastic about this new development. He cranes his long neck around the side of your chair, pressing his own much larger horns to yours. They clack together loudly, the sound perhaps amplified by the silence which descended over the courtyard. {They look different than mine but I like Papa's horns.} Your son's voice intones at the periphery of your thoughts. Excitement and curiosity roll off of him in waves.
“What... why do you have horns? This doesn't make any sense! People don't just grow horns!” Darzi's voice cuts through the quiet, more confused than angry.
Profectus answers before you're able. “Hey, maybe Mikhael just grows horns. Maybe he was cursed by that spirit he fought, or maybe it's because of one of the artifacts he uses. At this point I'm barely even surprised by the shit which goes on with him.”
(1/3?)
First
Much Love Senpai, thank you for writing
That's honestly not a bad guess, though you think you have a better as to why you sprouted horns. It's likely due to the nature of your Grandmaster meditation. Perhaps, by reinforcing the shell and momentarily discarding your mortal form, you somehow altered your self-image. However, for now you think you'll leave them guessing. Just for a while longer.
“Maybe we somehow made a mistake?” Mortia suggest. “I don't know much about Water magic, not truly, but it could be we... I don't know, healed his skull too much? I know there are certain potions an alchemist can make which encourage the healing of fractures, and taking too much of these can lead to the growth of bony protrusions at any point on the body.” She glances in your direction, eyes very pointedly focused on your head. “Granted, I've never seen them grow so large or so orderly.”
Fulvia's voice thunders through your mind, a headache splitting your skull down the middle. {His appearance mirrors that of Hiacian Shock Infantry. They were known for their prominent horns, of which Centurions would often form collections.} You don't know how you feel about that, a rather gruesome idea if you're being honest. {Perhaps battling the spirit forced Dux Mikhael to undergo the same process these ancient warriors underwent themselves.}
That's an interesting point, actually. Could you have accidentally stumbled across the same process by which someone became a Child of Surya? Could you not merely resembled them, but actually be one of them? “I think I know why I've sprouted horns all of a sudden.” You declare, the speculation falling silent. “The method by which I achieved grandmastery of Metal magic involved-”
Darzi interrupts, much to your annoyance. “Wait, when did you achieve grandmastery of Metal? You never mentioned that.”
How could you possibly have forgotten that detail? “Didn't I? Well, it was how I managed to defeat the void entity and repair the fabric of reality. It was with that meditation that I feel I gained the final necessary insight. Metal magic, I believe, is a practice intrinsically tied to harnessing the divine. Granted, as I advance it increasingly seems that all schools are tied in some manner to the divine, but Metal magic more so than others. It is a school of-” You cut yourself off with a gesture. “Well, we can discuss that later if anyone is interested. My point is, that meditation reshaped my self perception to include horns.”
“So when we healed you, that altered self-image expressed itself in full.” Darzi puts together the pieces. You're glad she's managed to glean that insight into Water magic, it took you quite some time to finally understand that little fact. “You mentioned earlier that you 'transcended' mortal form. Did you have horns then, or did this come about sometime after the fact?”
(2/3)
You recall the brief reflection you caught of yourself in the pool of stagnant water. Coal black skin dotted with white markings, and crowned with horns of silver. Come to think of it, is your skin a little darker as well? “I had horns in that form, yes. I suppose that's likely the specific incident that altered how I perceived myself, though I'm not sure why ascending to that state would necessitate the growth of horns.”
Your brother's voice draws your attention. “Could you... shave them off, perhaps? I can't imagine you'll be able to freely move about society with a giant set of horns resting atop your head.”
An interesting proposition. You probably could shave them off, if you wanted to. They'd grow back every time either you or someone else tried to heal you though, you think. Actually, maybe if you cut them off and allowed them to heal the scar tissue would prevent Water magic from repairing them? Doe horns even develop scar tissue? You'd still have two hard plates of bone where no hair would grow, but a hat could cover those up.
>You could probably cut them off but you'd never be able to fully get rid of them. Worth a shot, you suppose.
>Just because you can do something doesn't mean you want to. Frankly, you quite like them.

I don't mind Mik suffering physically because of it, but if I have to read it in bold, well, that's where I draw the fucking line. We'd better tell Fulvia to think quieter asap.
>>12971
I hoped that would be more jarring and annoying.

Soma would be Mik be willing to learn a bit about science if it meant he could expand upon what he could do with magic?

We should frankly enter her Pseudo-Spirit Realm and remove her limitations, and use that remembering technique on Profectus to restore his memories from before.

Manager did nothing wrong
Hey Soma could you add a physical description of Mik to the character pastebin so we can have an easier time keeping track and referencing our changes. Like tatoos, traces of spice in our eyes, skin color, horns and such.
>>12992
Oh, and also Chryssa, though that would require us to go all the way back to her toddlerhood, so maybe after a little more practice with Shaping Arts. Don't want to accidentally make her remember the inside of her mother's womb.
Wait, I take it back. Let's totally make Chryssa remember the inside of her mother's womb.

>>13043
Ehh, scratch that. At Master level, probably more like 1 vys every 10 minutes.
>>13043
And when we reach grandmastery in fire?
>>13020
I'd rather leave most of Mik to our imagination, but the horns aren't really a part of that whole deal, so I do want to know their hue, texture, curve, etc.
I get that they're mostly like black dragons from vanilla D&D, but you know there's some fagmonaut out there who thinks they look like pic related or something.
>>13031
You're a funny guy. I like you.
>>13047
And if we reach GM level?

Skin, son. Same difference.Typos are a bitch, man.
>>13049
>90 base DC
I can't even begin to figure out how we'll beat that one.
>>13040
I'm so goddamn retarded sometimes
>>13068
Why would it be 90 base DC? It should be 60 just like any other GM meditation, with further difficulty resulting from whatever circumstances we decide the put ourself in.
>>13083
We gain maluses each time we achieve GM in a different element.
does anyone else think our main focus from now on should be enlarging our vys pool, since we're practically undefeatable when we're cornered? it's the long haul, things like spiritual pressure difference with children and enduring the warlock armor that gets us.
sure, we need fire to keep impressing our son as he grows, but not really for anything else, so that can wait until a month or so later, when our sanity has recovered enough for another grandmastery. Varvar said metal GM was the hardest one to withstand mentally.
>>13068
anons can be excellent at jewing forth positive modifiers as proven last thread.
>>13062
>actually thinks he made more typos in the first threads than he does nowadays
hey, what's our sanity at?
QUESTIN
>>13083
Because we gain negative modifiers for any GM meditations above our normal max which for samjans is 2 if I remember right.
>>13098
Sure. If any prospective anons still recall The List you'll have my vote on it.
Yep, all of it. At once. Should be no prob right Soma?
>>13098
At this point it's probably dropped down to [6]/10
Previously its actual level, excluding the damage caused by the excising of the false god, was 4/10. I'd say now its actual level is 5/10.
It'll take a few more days for your soul to heal fully and reach that level though.
>>13106
Not all samjans are created equal, some have higher magical potential remember?
>>13114
Who has our sanity ring right now? Profectus? Or did we hold onto it for now?
>>13122
We're holding onto it at the moment. We were planning on giving to Prof once he was conscious.
>>13122
I beliefve Profectus, I think we where worried about his state of mind after all of that spice.
Karim showed us that we could achieve 4 GMs without suffering any maluses, so that implies that any malus we got for our fifth GM meditation would be smaller than someone who's highest number of GMs was 3 or 2 or 1.
>>13093
Where was our malus for GM water in our GM metal meditation? We had no - modifiers to our rolls and + modifiers on the DC were due to circumstance.
>>13106
Limits to magical progression vary from person to person, not specifically by race. Darzi, for example, started receiving maluses at expert in a single element. We have not yet received any.
>>13132
Karim estimated that the maximum number of Grandmasteries you were able to achieve was 4, that doesn't mean maluses start at 4.
So.
What should our next two GM attempts be for?
>>13136
Players aren't smart enough to figure that out.
>>13136
Ah, that clarifies that then. Are the maluses really so high once we reach 4 that we can't conceivably Penta-mastery?
I mean, from that last GM meditation with the absurdly stupidly high DC, I think enough meditation aids would help us pass practically any meditation, unless you made the maluses stupid-high like +12 per increment.
>>13144
I'd say fire, or nature if a good opportunity presents itself in eludia.
>>13144
Nature and Fire
We already have an Earth GM and we can rely on metal for defense against the erosion of earth magic so it's the lowest priority the way I see it.
>>13144
Fire then Nature. Maybe get Nature to master before we GM fire though since we're now on a time limit to get to the jungle and we never use the crown.
>>13136
Well, Karim is also a blind, goat-fucking degenerate, so what does he know? I say we aim for twice that number and don't stop until we successfully fuck a Child. Literally have sex with it.
>>13098
We could probably knock out a couple of our unread effects and metas for a decent vys increase.
>>13156
What are Earth's other aspects any way?
>>13139
I have no idea where to start to find it larger version, but a kind anon provided this just two threads ago.

>>13164
>goat-fucking degenerate
ALLEGED
>>13149
No we could, it would very much be something in line with Mik's strive to break barriers. It'll just be something that actually has to have a large amount of prep for.
>>13170
Experiment combine Enchanting and spellcasting maybe worthwhile.
>>13177
>Needing prep right before a GM meditation instead of just waiting for a sufficiently deadly situation to pop up that would be appropriate for that element.
We're fucked.
>>13144
Fire and Nature, preferably both before we reach Elaudia, but Nature if we can only get one doneEarthis worstmagic
>>13184
We need a pocket Mahana. Or a couple of them.
>>13168
Yup, metas give you 2 vys instead of 1, only take 1 session unlike books, and are immensely useful to boot. I'm fairly certain we can OHKO smaller dragons by using beam in conjunction with surya's vice, destroy or if we bother to experiment on it, actual lazors.
>>13186
Earth seems OP to destroy spirits, it specifically targets the mind. Can you imagine if instead of just tossing that giant void entity out we instead made it as docile as a puppy?
>>13184
Hey now that we're horny and suryans will probably love us we can visit that Suryan temple of fire and ask for their help like we did at the water temple.
Isn't one of their priests here at the estate? We should contact him asap while we still have the chance.
>>13190
Fuck Mahana
Mahana kittens
>>13203
Hmm I didn't even think but yeah we just got a stupidly good inside to the Surya Prophet lady.
>>13170
>Dealy (Meta)

>>13186
Makes sense. Worst magic for worst girl.I thought it was time.
Hey Soma!
You said we wouldn't be able to do combat enchanting like the spirit we encountered in the catacombs, is that still true with our ascended form?
>>13202
It is supposed to be able to fuck with souls, from what Chryss has said in the past, but Metal also has anti spirit, or at least anti void entity properties.
And husk casting seems to just be anti everything.
>>13212
The only problem with going to the prophet is that the situation is more volatile than you'd think.
A messianic figure shows up and convinces an entire priesthood she's the hottest shit on the block (pun intended).
Then months later a literal embodiment to their God who's very powerful and in his own arrogant way extremely charismatic shows up.
Does that in any way not look like a direct threat to her primacy?
>>13217
It's the Meta for jewing extra hard.
>>13217
>>13239
Do the penalties apply to EVERY meditation we do now that we're at 2 GM, or just future GM meditations? Cause nature/earth to master before we go for GM fire (which we could do with our son) seems like a solid idea if it won't be super painful with massive maluses.
>>13233
That seems like she would want us on her side really really quickly so she could pursue her goals and to validate her power grabs. That or she instantly GM's water *sploosh*
>>13249
I'm surprised Mik didn't grow a bigger nose
>>13233
It definitely could get out of hand, it really depends on whether or not we end up liking her.
If we like her, we endorse her and get an ally with powerful backing, if we don't, Holy War
>>13203
this isn't a bad idea, at the very least we should try to talk to torture priest dude before we leave
>>13256
We don't know when the analyses will start applying. All we know is that Karim thinks that they will be too great after we reach our 4th GM to advance any further. Right now we have not yet had advancement maluses.
>>13256
Future GM meditations. Grandmastering is very different skill level wise than the other levels. You can use adept level magics for free and start to mess with reality.
>>13233
It's also sidetracking. Once, just once, I'd like Mik to do what he said he'd do. We've been manipulating our companions emotionally and even outright lying to them about anything if it suits us since all the way back in those Rhynian ruins, when Chrys called us out on our bullshit.
Which I kinda miss, since our companions nowadays seem to mindlessly drag themselves along with us with zero needs and desires. Mortia is sticking around with her thumb up her ass until something dangerous happens to her completely unrelated to why she came with us: plants. Fulvia is more of a robot nowadays. Chryssa has been the same since she dumped her spaghetti all over the Enclave. Darzi and Profectus are the only ones who feel like actual people to me nowadays.
Guys, just real quick. What if we used our new mastery of magic to create a new model for Siege, implant portions of our soul into the tiny constructs to create Ultra Models that go at an exuberant price.
>>13233
As long as she's agreeable I don't think it'll be a problem. Mik has no reason to want to debase her. And even if they did get into a conflict Mik would certainly end up the victor.
>>13170
Honestly, we really should have the cat introduce itself to our party. We literally fucking saved his ass and made him the strongest goddamn spirit in the Empire.
We need to make a new business deal with him. We become the new emperors, subjugate the dragons and make them our vassal state with Zahak as their leader, and we have our physical armies aid his spiritual ones and his spirtual ones aid our physical ones.
Honestly, I would also like Profectus to become king of the Elves. He is such a total bro it would seem a shame to think otherwise.
If you have ever read the Dresden files, I want us to be Johnny Marcone.
We should legitimately become kingmakers.
>>13205
>Fuck Mahana
like..."we should fornicate with Mahana and create little mahakittens?
or
>fuck mahana we don't need that asshole, let's try to get our hands on little miniature mahakittens?
>>13230
Another question Soma, can we achieve a grandmastery in the Shaping Arts? Would it count towards the limit of 4 that Karim predicted or is it different enough?
Assuming it has five ranks like the primary schools, and advances similarly, that's a +10 to all meditations, which might counteract enough of the maluses to achieve a 5th gm, presuming that Karim wasn't familiar enough with them to account for them, and that they don't count towards the total themselves.
Would the ascended form help with identifying unknown runes on artifacts?Teleport rune when?
>>13287
That's because we've been kinda blowing them off quite a bit as well. We're trying to fix this a bit in the coming week.
>>13301
Soma has stated that Mik thinks he has seen the rune for teleporting, but that we need to meditate on it first.
>>13287
We've gone over this whole "emotional manipulation and lying " shit already. We've established that everyone just likes the thrill. They can't think of whatever else they'd like to do except luxuriating in the wealth they've already obtained, and Profectus would go through his quickly, Darzi would get bored in less than five years and want to go adventuring again, Chryssa would either be with us or fighting dangerous shit on her own and aside from us still likes everyone in the party a lot, Zahak goes where we go and loves our short attention span tier dickery. Mortia's just following with us for one adventure and the worst she has to complain about is a little detour here and there.
Mikhael has always been the glory hounding attention hog of their adventures. Darzi just about got over her conflicting feelings in regards to her love of insane adventures recently.
Just get over it.
>>13301
We already have it we just don't understand it.
>>13301
I would be 100% on board with this just for the "teleports behind you" shenanigans.
>>13300
Are you stupid or something?
>>13323
I teleport behind him and caress him with my ricky.
then I say
"Nothing personal, kid."
>>13308
>Chryssa: literal autist
>Fulvia: literal robot
>Mortia: socially inept hikkineet
anon, it's not really surprising that they aren't very interesting as characters
admittedly they're all fairly well fleshed out, but Prof's PTSD hasn't been resolved (or even explored/addressed) and Darzi has been a fairly dynamic/evolving character wrt her relationship with Mik and/or her desire to settle down and act responsibly vs admitting she's adrenaline junkie who loves the life and death struggle of adventuring with Mik
>>13337
As constructive as that was, do you have anything else to say?
I'm tired of the repeated implication that we're somehow the villain here in regards to our companions. If they hated it, they would have stayed back at the estate. We aren't brainwashing them to love insane adventures filled with danger, violence, glory and wealth.
They follow us either for the thrill or a genuine "well it's Mikhael, what do you expect?" nonchalance and acceptance of our antics, with Profectus even trying not to form a strong emotional attachment to us because he fears us eventually dying and leaving himself vulnerable.
ah, fuck, meant to quote >>13287 not >>13308
not to shit all over the other characters, but Chryssa's character development basically was "fall in love > get rejected > go kind of insane > revert to being autistic which is unfortunate in that there's not really any interesting way I can see her developing as a character
Fulvia's got that whole insane screaming soul that's locked down that we're apparently just going to pretend doesn't exist and Mortia...idk desu I dunno she seems pretty undeveloped as a character like SK
>>13346
I think Fulvia acting more robotic is simply because of her new chassis. It's not meant for socializing. Her thought process literally changes depending on the body. Mortia is just so out of place it's not even funny, she doesn't know anything about the planet. Chryssa has a horn up her arse because of Mik's lack of direction it feels like.
>>13357
>constructive
>BQ
>>13357
Shaping arts has only three levels: Novice, Adept, and Master.
>>13370
Fulvia has been like this ever since we entered that chained-up door.
>>13365
Fulvia was about as pissed of as it's possible for a robot to be when we looked into the recesses of her figurative soul. We didn't want to press the issue because obviously she didn't want us to, and now we aren't pressing it because we've had other things to attend to.
>>13365
After Eludia, that's whats driving me. After Eludia we'll get back home and do personal stuff. Settle our debts to others right now and then slow everything down for a while.
>>13396
I think it would be wise if we tackled Profectus' problem prior to arriving in Elaudia.
>>13403
Just gotta remember that we got a two week time limit for the Stooges thing right now. Pretty sure its the same temple we spirit journeyed to for a while.
>>13396
That would be the epilogue.
>>13403
Doubt we could.
>>13411
Pffft Banished Quest is eternal.
>>13385
Huh, I must have missed that, thanks.
Do you recall where that was stated?
I don't see it on the character sheet, the spellbooks, or either of the magic pastebins.
Your first instinct is to channel a little Fire magic to craft an illusion. It would be a fairly simple task to hide your horns that way. However, trying to draw upon your vys only sends an ache spreading through your chest. You wonder if this is what it's like to lose a limb. You know that you're not doing anything wrong, you've harnessed your vys in this manner thousands of times over the course of your life. You can even feel your reserves, they're at your fingertips. Yet, when you try to draw from them they simply refuse to respond.
Frustrated by your current impotence, you heave a weary sigh. “I suppose I could probably shave down my horns, but just because I can doesn't mean I want to. Honestly I think I quite like them. Besides, just look at Chryssa. She has horns and they don't seem to cause her too many problems.”
“But she's a human, Mikhael.” Your brother is quick to point out. “Most people probably simply assume she's the subject of some strange experiment or otherwise a form of mutant. The Rhynian tendency to meddle with the Gods' creations is infamous.”
A fair point, and a truth you can attest to in your own travels. Profectus, Tertia, Chryssa, and Fulvia are all testaments to the Rhynians skill in manipulating life. Even those accursed lions which roam Pidjata are a result of their efforts. “I can't deny the truth of what you say, Zaahir, but let us not forget our own history. The Hiacians once employed a horned race known as the Children of Surya in their wars against the Rhynians. They eventually died out, but I'm sure my current appearance would mimic theirs almost exactly.”
Your brother opens his mouth to respond, but before he's able it seems a revelation strikes him. “You know, Mikhael... maybe you're right.” He admits, you can practically see the thoughts roiling in his head. “I think I've an idea of sorts. Come by my rooms tomorrow, if you'd like. There's something I think we ought to discuss. Not now of course, I need to consult with my wife on the matter.”
You hadn't really seen this calculating side of your brother before. It's reminiscent in many ways of your father whenever a particularly clever idea strikes him. You wonder, could this have something to do with that priest he's employing as a torturer in his dungeons? You know very little of your family's alliance with the resurgent Suryan priesthood, but you do find yourself curious as to what they'd think of your new appearance.
Zaahir wanders off without another word, consumed with his own thoughts. You turn your attention once more to your companions, suddenly remembering your lack of dress. Reaching into your cloak, you retrieve a pair of cotton trousers. You try to stand from your chair to pull them on, but find that you're still too weak to properly support yourself. Fortunately Profectus offers his assistance, and with significant effort on your part you eventually manage to make yourself descent.

I bet when Darzi wakes up every day and sees the scars on her hands she subconsciously seethes at Mik for doing what she couldn't. In spite of his utter recklessness, Mik has been able to overcome any trial he's faced with her through sheer skill. He's had no casualties. Darzi, on the other hand, made just a small mistake and lost her entire squad. It probably kills her inside and she probably simultaneously hates and loves Mik for it.
Just that small exertion has left your limbs feeling like little more than paper. You can't imagine how difficult it's going to be to get up to your rooms.

oh, I agree, I'm just saying that the way they've developed as NPCs in game has ironically resulted in the devolution in character.
Darzi seems real/is well written in that she's conflicted in myriad ways (relationship with Mik, desire to leave the group vs continue adventuring, feeling like a burden because she's not as high powered aside from armor that isn't even hers) and none of these things are really things that can be fixed by going through a checklist
same thing with Prof, where he's a freak who's out of place, out of time, in love with the only other person who understands him, has severe PTSD, is terrified of losing his only friends, the leader of which has a reckless lack of self preservation instincts, etc etc none of his problems have easily solutions (or will every be solved)
whereas any development we've given Chryssa, Mortia or Fulvia has basically resulted in Soma writing himself into a hole or solved all their problems, making them seem kinda two dimensional

offer our companions the chance to meditate with us, we could guide them on it and they might learn something

Our husk should be fine. What we need right now is to break down that vys clot.

>when was the last time Mik ate anything again
it was before we remade 95% of our body from scratch, so you're probably right on the money there.
>>13431
>Meditate with Zahak and Profectus.
Have a boys time with them. Zahak needs to spend some time with his uncle, and we need to spend some time with our boys.
in fact, have them explore what's wrong with you when you do it yourself. I am fairly certain if Mik is a child of Surya, then any advances to our situation would help fire vatis's.

Fasting gives bonuses to meditation.

>>13431
Zahak needs some praise for healing Mik as well.
>>13438
don't forget that Chrys's stoicism makes it super hard for us to tell what the fuck she's actually feeling. Often times, her expression of feelings comes off as a yandere (that includes her hard stance on monogamy.
>>13438
Mortia could actually do with some local tutoring I feel, just doesn't seem right to devote a whole lot of time to give her general information of the world itself and how her magics actually work. Still wanna figure out what the deal with her artifacts is though.
Fulvia is the character that is awesome but she'll most likely end up leaving after a while anyway to truly begin her campaign. I want to see what happens if we find an actual heavy combat construct that is compatible.
Chryssa has been around since the beginning. She'll be around for life if we purposely don't betray her or something of that line. I still want to kill her fiance because he was a dick.
Chryssa is difficult to deal with. She's our first companion though so it's not like I want her to leave the party or anything.
>>13431
>Write-in
Oh yeah fucking give Fulvia the fucking hiacan books and tell her to scan for any clues relating to the Al-Hikars so we can find that damn key/armor
>>13482
Family>Magic>>>Everything else.
>>13497
Ha, she has the starter rights like in pokemon.
>>13503
Chryssa is both more powerful than a lot of our party and a rarity. So yeah, exactly like a starter pokemon.
I wonder if we could inscribe runes into everyone's armor to boost defenses agains tthe threats we'll be facing. Some sort of repel insect or purge poison effects.
>>13502
>family
>anywhere above shit tier
Excepting Zahak, who lies somewhere above that level, all of our family is shit.
Zahak>Magic>Everything Else
>>13431
>So... anyone up for more group meditation? My vys system is clogged up as fuck. And I could appreciate your help.
>>13473
I'd support that too.
>>13516
Uh. You might be the minority here. Mikhael's family is great. Aside from his brother, and a sister we haven't fully forgiven, it seems like most of his family values Mikhael head and shoulders above what you'd expect given how flighty he is.
>>13517
This is true.
>>13512
I wonder if we could inscribe runes into everyone's bones, Supernatural style.
>>13518
Going with this. Bring out the blankets and foodstuffs. Make it a star viewing afterwards. General plans and share what they all did while we were away. See if Darzi talked with Chryssa yet about the relationship. Hopefully in private.
>>13516
You are objectively false in your beliefs. Mikael's family is full of cool dudes and gals. Excepting 2, one of which is questionable and the other should be dying to filthy elf pirates right around now.
>>13529
That's terrifying and I would want Mik to do it first. I'm fairly certain healing would override them and erase the runes though.
Okay, so meditation on what you fucked up seems the predominant choice. How do you want to meditate?

Chryssa is a fucking beast that we've underutilized for a while because spaghetti and her desire to kill us
like...super OP
>front line fighter with no upper limit to strength
>stoic so no fear, just irritation at things that are hard to kill
>GM earth
>backup healer
>sniper with super mask
She's like...melee, DPS, heal, debuff, immunity to mental effects, and ranged burst damage all in one with no weaknesses
>>13538

>>13526
In Samjan society the idea of an individual is only hazily defined. The family is the smallest unit of social organization, and life for most people is dominated by family life.

Kind of surprised that Mikhael hasn't adopted some aspect of A GOD AM I megalomania by now.
Maybe that was more an aspect of Earth...

>no upper limit to strength
outright false. there's all kinds of shit she can't lift.
>stoic so no fear
that's not how stoicism works, you ingrate. also this ends up being a downside because of how insufferable it makes her outside combat, which is 90% of the time.
>GM earth
combat-wise, most of our companions use GM-tier Earth when given the Sleeve. Noncombat things she can do Mik can do as well.
>backup healer
zero need for this. we could heal our entire party if all that was left of them were their heads.
>sniper with super mask
the mask can be equipped by anyone and is inferior to magical telescope vision.
I hope she dies.
>>13587
I have a question Soma.
Can we merge the soul and the flesh and have it become one?
Can we remove the husk and Tie the everlasting divine core to our physical self by removing the husk?
>>13624
It might be a fun experiment.
>>13618
Shit Anon, 10/10. Did you draw that or find it somewhere?

>>13621
>>13616
>Mik wears his personailty on his sleeve
Literally the least accurate statement about Mik's "personailty."
>>/tg/
>>13619
Not really possible anon. That's way outside his capabilities.
>>13636
I drew it myself.
>>13618
Holy shit, is that actual fanart for BQ?
>>13640
That isn't accurate? It seems to be on his sleeve alright, it's just also up to interpretative simplification and misinterpretation.
>>13618
Fucking nice, dude
>>13644
A joint meditation session can totally give him his lost memories like it did with Zahak.
>>13644
Let him use the crown to help his meditation and it won't be hard. He should be able to at least reach novice level.
>>13587
wouldn't this meditation also give our companions insight into metal magic?

Hey Soma just wondering, why would you take your quest to this board? The archiving is going to get messed up and this board might get shut down.
>>13618
>left stooge is just a flipped copy of the right stooge
get out of here, you lazy nigger
>>13680
He doesn't need to learn in the first try. I remember when we failed to get a meta long time ago the next roll had a small bonus.
>>13680
Watch, Profectus was probably a general in the Rhynian Army with several dozen victories under his belt and turns into a hardcore mofo.
he becomes the General Mattis of the party and swaps stories and military Strategy with Darzi on the regular.
>>13689
Yup, it's just that most of the rolls that have been made recently were life or death tier. Kinda neglected straight up meditating as of late.
>>13640
When has Mik ever concealed his thoughts. Mik's straightforward and candid nature has been an aspect of his character since literally thread 1. It is in fact the reason he was banished in the first place. How could you possibly consider Mik's personality to be anything but completely clear to anyone who has spent any significant amount of time with him?
ROOOOOOOOOLL 3d10+36 (+2 from Earth Vatis, +8 from Chrys, +4 from Prof, +2 from Fulvia, +4 from Darzi, +6 from Zahak, +2 from Mortia, +2 from Vatis Training, +2 from Shaping Arts, +4 from A Terrible Thing to Waste) vs DC... well, uh. Nevermind. No need to roll for this.
Incidentally, this is primarily an Earth Magic thing. You gotta erode away the congealed vys and then build your reserves back up again the more natural way.
Rolled 4, 5, 1 + 36 = 46 (3d10 + 36)
>>13731
>>13587
We should get those meeseeks out of the spirit realm as soon as possible.

Rolled 9, 3, 9 = 21 (3d10)
>>13731
New board, new luck
Rolled 3, 1, 10 = 14 (3d20)
>>13731
Oh hey, I haven't rolled on this board before.
>>13731
Shouldn't we also get something from our metal GM since it involves the soul?
>>13689
+2 on second try, +6 on third.
if we roll averagely, we'll fail, but an above average roll we can pass by spending. not sure what the upper limit on spending was, I think somewhere around 15% to 25%.
if we wear regular warlock armor and have him wear the crown, we can probably pass. if we do it with further help, DCs below 45 are babby tier anyway.
>>13746
earth erodes, metal builds up.
Rolled 1, 4, 5 = 10 (3d10)
>>13745
>fucked up my first roll

trip tens incoming.
