Far off, nestled in an otherwise small Japanese town lies the Dark Gate Academy. An institution of tremendous size, the Academy holds a long kept secret. Unknown to the outside world, this unseemly town is home to a tear in our reality. A gate between our world and a bizarre dimension known as the Darkworld. The inhabitants of this hellish world breach this gate and attempt to flood into our reality and spread throughout the world on a regular basis. However, the Dark Gate Academy is home to students of truly extraordinary abilities. The ability to sense the presence of these evil Darkword creatures, and defeat them in combat, sending them back through the gate.
They cannot close the rift between our world and the Darkworld, but the students and staff of Dark Gate Academy have dedicated their lives to using their amazing powers to hold back the darkness that plagues our world, even if it costs them their lives. They have risen up to the challenge and in secret have become great heroic defenders of the world as we know it.
You are Ryoji Shida. A transfer student and delinquent who ended up in the school by mistake, with no fighting ability, but you may have a stronger connection to the Darkworld than thought possible.
>Previously on Dark Gate Academy...
You discovered that Yamato is part-Darkworlder, and was using his powers to hide how he was keeping Alice captive.
This moment marks the dawn of an important day in the history of Dark Gate Academy. After the shocking revelation of the conditions Alice was being kept in, and the even more shocking revelation of Yamato's true nature, action had to be taken. Breaking Alice free from her chains, Class 2 rushed back to the dorms with the Darkworld girl in tow. After Satomi carefully tended to her wounds, Chihiro chose to hide Alice in her and Sayeka's dormroom. The rest of you knew it wouldn't be long before Yamato realised she was missing, and he would soon be bringing Class 3 to your door, in order to take her back... and something told you they weren't going to be afraid of using force.
Damn Yamato... for a brief moment, you had begun to believe, just a little, that perhaps he wasn't so bad as the rest of the maniacs in Class 3... as it turns out, he's even worse. Hell, you've begun to question if the rest of Class 3 are actually as monstrous as they appear... maybe they've been under Yamato's influence this whole time. You all prepared for the inevitable attack on the dorms come morning, as you readied any defences you might have. You have the numbers advantage, the entire class allied against a common enemy... but that numbers advantage never helped against them before. In terms of pure skill, they've got you all outclassed. The majority of your group will get curb-stomped moments into a straight up fight.
You drew up a list of who the class's tanks are... those who can do some actual real damage to a member of Class 3. That list consisted of Saki and Nariko's Angry state... and neither of them could really hold up to Yamato. Expanding to include those who could hold their own for a length of time, the list would also include Sayeka, Rei, Akira, Seishiro, Akio and Ken... possibly Chihiro too. The rest would be taken down in a matter of seconds, though Hiro's shields should be able to work against Yamato, and Akemi promised to spend the night building traps and exterior defences around the dorm.
With not much of a plan to go on, you decided to get some rest, as two members of class would keep lookout during the night in three hour shifts.
While you weren't part of the lookout shifts, you were still unable to get a proper night's sleep. You lay awake, restless and worried. By the time you managed to doze off, you were plagued with disturbing dreams. Dreams of the Darkworld, and a thick fog, and a pair of glowing eyes calling out to you...
As you wake up, you discover an unwelcome visitor in bed next to. A certain small light blonde-haired girl. Turns out the looks aren't all that run in Chihiro's family.
“Alice, what are you doing in my bed?”
Alice lets out a yawn, and rises up, the blankets falling off of her. Well, at least she's wearing clothes.
“I wanted to sleep here...” she explains. “Don't know why. Felt like the only place I could.”
Okay, so now people are being compelled to sleep in your bed. Later on, you should check to see if there's an ancient burial ground beneath you or something.
“Have they arrived yet?” Alice asks. “The Carpenter is coming, with the oysters in tow.”
“Yamato, you mean? He's not here yet.”
“He's going to eat us!” she replies, in a high-pitched voice that sounds way too cheerful for what she just said.
“Nobody's going to eat you,” Ken's voice calls out from the top bunk, before he drops down to the floor. It seems he's been awake for a while. “We're going to keep you safe, okay?”
Alice stares and smiles at Ken, before calmly shaking her head. “Nope! He's going to kill us.”
Ken frowns, disappointed in the pessimism from the girl. “Let's keep a hopeful attitude, okay? As long as we all stick together, they can't take us down. They're bad people, and the bad guys never win.”
“I've seen lots of bad guys win!” Alice replies, still smiling. “The good guys always die in my experience!”
Ken hesitates, unsure of what to say. “Just trust us, okay?”
Alice shakes her head again. “The bad guy asked me to trust him. Didn't turn out well.”
Ken rubs his forehead, clearly having a hard time with the conversation. “I'm going to go out the the others.”
“I'll join you when I'm ready,” you reply, lifting yourself up and sitting on the edge of your bed.
You look over to Alice, who is sitting cross-legged on your bed, humming to herself. She's still a few eggs short of a full basket, but there's so many question you still have to ask. But where to start?
>How do you know that Yamato is like us?
>What do you know about what we are?
>How much do you remember of your old life?

>What do you know about what we are?
Alice stretches out her arms and yawns. She still has marks on her wrists from where she was chained up. "I know everything!" she boasts with a smile. That's good to know, now finally you can get some proper answers from- "But I also know nothing!"
"What?" you ask. Of course you weren't going to get a straightforward answer out of her.
"I know what I am... or what I was... or maybe what I still am... but I can't explain it," she mumbles. "It's all so fuzzy... see, it wasn't really me, but it was me, and you're not really you, but you are, but one day you won't be and-"
"Sorry, could you try to phrase this in a way that makes sense?" you interject, placing your fingers to your temples.
"No, this it the only way! You should understand soon... but you should understand already, AND you should be a lot more... evil. Don't you remember anything?"
"No, I don't. One moment I was a normal kid, then the next I wasn't."
Alice hums. "Sooo... you don't remember the whispers?"
"Whispers? What whispers?" you ask, confused.
Alice stares blankly for a second. "Did I say something about whispers? Oh dear... it's going cloudy again. Remember... remember..." she mutters to herself before a lightbulb goes off in her head. "Purple!"
You raise an eyebrow. "What?"
"My favourite colour is purple! I just remembered that!" she beams proudly.
Clearly, her mind is in a fragile state. Getting any real answers from her is bound to be difficult. You shake your head, put on your jacket, and head out into the hallway.
As you do, you are immediately greeted by a panicked Chihiro. "My aunt is missing! Oh god Ryoji, they've taken her during the night!"
"Don't worry," you sigh. "She's on my bed!"
"Ryoji... taking advantage of my innocent confused aunt?" Chihiro gasps. "How beastly!"
You roll your eyes as she pushes past you and enters your room.
You take a few steps forward and notice Saki and Sayeka having a heated discussion.
"What's going on?" you ask.
"In the event of a battle breaking out, we've split the class into two seperate groups. The first will meet with Class 3 and do battle with them on the front-lines. The others will remain in here as a last line of defence in the event the A team is taken down," Sayeka explains.
"As the two most capable fighters in the class, we should both lead one team each," Saki adds, "Though we're undecided on who should go where. You have any suggestions?"

>Saki should lead the A team, and Sayeka the B team.
Ideally, we should separate Class 3 and just gang up on them individually. Not really sure how to accomplish that though.
>AND you should be a lot more... evil.
One day, Ryoji will give in to his Darkworlder instincts and go batshit insane, and he'll still be nicer than 90% of the people in the school.
>Sayeka should lead the A team, and Saki the B team.
"Are you sure?" Saki asks. "I feel like I should be on the frontline."
"Sak, what good would a last line of defence be if your strongest fighter wasn't on it? You need to stay back here and keep the others safe. Like you always do."
Saki nods, and holds up her shield. "Okay then. If this all comes to that, good luck out there."
"I don't see any way this isn't going to turn into a fight," you reply.
"Then you're underestimating my diplomatic skills," Saki jokes, "I'm sure a few protest signs, a nicely made banner over the dorms entrance, and we can come to a peaceful solution."
You laugh and shake your head as you enter the Dorm's lounge area. First thing you notice is Akemi passed out on the sofa, a blanket thrown over her.
"Was she up all night?" you ask.
"Yeah, she just got over to sleep," Hikaru replies, taking a quick break from lookout duty to grab a soda from the vending machine. Akio picks up the slack, staring out the window of the lounge with a determined look. "She spend the whole night crafting stuff around the dorm. Explosives, traps, turrets..."
"Turrets?" your eyes widen. "How many turrets?"
"I don't know," Hiakru shrugs. "A lot of turrets. They're lined out across the dorms roof."
She did that on her own? In a night?
You hunker down over the sofa and pull the blankets up over Akemi's shoulders. "Sleep tight you little air-head," you whisper, "You've earned it."
"Still no sign of them," Akio mutters. "I don't get it. I would have thought Yamato would be gunning for us right away."
"He's probably planning the next course of action himself," Hikaru explains. "I doubt he wants to come in aggressive. He's smarter than that. I also imagine he's having a little hissy fit over his cover being blown."
Akio smirks. "Yeah, he probably did that whole angsty introspective shower thing you see in all the movies. All night."
"He's going to show up looking like a dried prune," Hikaru laughs.
It's good to see that the class can remain in high-spirits at a time like this.
"Ryoji, can I ask you something?" Hiro's voice calls from behind.
"Go ahead, shoot."
Hiro pauses, and thinks for a moment. "Yamato's a Darkworlder... so that means that my shield would work against him. Now, my shields aren't very strong, and I can't hold them for very long without hurting myself, but they are the only advantage we could have against Yamato. I'm opposed to fighting... but if we have no choice... I think I might be the only one who can hold him back. For that reason, I want to be on the frontlines during the battle."
>If it could help us defeat Yamato, I'm not going to refuse.

Okay first of all: We can't beat them in a full clash of forces.
Instead we should cut them off, draw a group of them somewhere, feign weakness to draw a small force somewhere, while fast movers drag the rest elsewhere.
Then the small force gets cut off and beaten by our actual full might.
While this would hardly work twice, it's likely that it'd at least give us an extra advantage.
Also, any chance we could get help from a teacher or Class 1?
>>172781
>No, you need to stay back here and act as healer.
Concentrate our power against Yamato, he's the #1 threat and might still just stroll past the outer line after rolling 100 for charm on them. Ryo, Saki and Alice are the only ones with a really high chance to not be fooled, even alert the rest might fail without our help.
>>172831
We keep all saying this, but one of us has to stand up and say it, we aren't going to win with this plan, I know it's what Booker gave us, but we need to gather everyone together, and re-formulate the plan to focus on their weaknesses, and our strength, Numbers. Not let them run wild over us. So, I'm changing to
>"Neither, gather the class, I have a new strategy in mind."
>>172781
Is Class 3 aware of our abilities? If they're not aware, then
>If it could help us defeat Yamato, I'm not going to refuse.
If they are, then Yamato is going to target him first. In that case, can we use Hiro as bait to lure Yamato into a trap?
Also, I'm wondering what Yamato's end goal is. He's a Darkworlder like Alice and Ryoji, but Alice kinda went crazy and Ryoji didn't change mentally at all (or at least noticeably). Yamato remained coherent but turned out to be pretty fucking evil. If his end goal is the same as the other Darkworlders (kill all humans), then shouldn't he have done more damage by now? Or is he aiming for world domination via the use of his Gift?
>>172837
We don't win in a full on clash.
Stronger individual pieces get a bigger "force multiplier", that is they probably make themselves even stronger together than we do together.
What I propose goes on three principles:
1. The enemy will try to strike at your weak spots to eliminate resistence
2. Our only chance is to fight the enemy at his weak spots
The only way we can increase our odds of taking them on their weak spots before they take us is if we control the playing field, we lure a group somewhere and beat their shit in.
Say they're eight, if we beat two stragglers that's already an advantage.
More importantly, we should really try to use the home advantage (traps like Akemi set up) or we do the unexpected, but I think the time for that tactic is past us.

While we're waiting, I've been working on an idea for a SoL quest centered around a teenage immigrant to Japan with all the expected protagonist-angst, and trying to find what to do with his life, with the possibility of branching into Puro Resu like WrestleQuest, other ventures, or just devolving into a sad, lonely wreck of unstable emotions and failed relationships based on the choices Anons make. On a scale of 1-I Might Actually Read It Once If Nothing Better's On, what would you guys rate it?
>>172951
I'd give it a read, mostly because I've got sod all else to do, and seeing some other attempts at quests than this one [since I've only really been reading this ever since Yuri Quest stopped happening after like two episodes and nothing else has caught my fancy] would help with inspiration for my Gay Evey and other quests
>>172965
Well, I mean, hey, the worst Gay Evey could do is make you play a punk rock-inspired teen with social anxiety, who gets too caught up in waifu wars to actually find a job or study, and ends up with nothing, right?

I'd read it, I like SoL.
>>172951
There need to be more good written quests on this board, so I'd read it.
Seriously why are there so many draw quests on this board. Not that drawquests are bad, I'd just prefer more variety.

>If it could help us defeat Yamato, I'm not going to refuse.
Hiro nods. "I don't know how much use it'll be, but we need to go with any chance we have... right?"
"We have to," you reply. "We're kind of backed into a corner here. Escorting me off campus to safety took all of our energy last time, and even then I ended up getting caught. Now, we have to stand our ground and defend ourselves together. They'll come at us as a unified force, especially if Yamato's using his charm powers to make the rest of Class 3 his little puppets."
Others from the class begin to pool into the lounge and get equipped for the upcoming conflict. You can feel the nerves radiating off of most of them, especially the less experienced fighters in the class. Hoshi is a complete nervous wreck, even more so than usual, as she sits in the corner bawling her eyes out with her knees pressed to her face, as Hiro does is best to provide a few words of comfort, to no avail. Satomi is staring wide-eyed at her first-aid kit, hoping to find some use for it. Reiji apparently wants no part in this, as he sits in a chair with his arms folded, frowning.
“Oh boy...” Hikaru mutters, “Here they come... and they brought someone else.”
As the group begins to panic at the news, you rush to the window and look outside. Yamato's there, accompanied by all of his Class 3 goons. This is as you expected. Yamato's pissed off, so of course his plan wouldn't involve something reasonable such as splitting into groups, something you probably could have taken advantage of. No, he had to bring every single one of those teenage weapons of mass destruction right to your door, and... oh crap. They've decided to drag Raiden along.
“We had a deal, Ryoji!” Yamato yells, loud enough that you can hear it from inside the dorm. “I suppose it was my fault, for trusting a slimy delinquent like you! But don't worry! If you hand Alice over within the next thirty minutes, we'll put this behind us! If you don't...”
Take pulls a limp Raiden up by his hair. “Then I feel that we have no choice but to execute this boy.”
>>173003
Thats fine, sorry for that, but I get triggered when I see "xd" or other stuff, enjoy the thread.
“Execute?!” Saki exclaims. “They wouldn't really do that, would they?”
“Have you forgotten who we're talking about?” Rei replies. “Raiden's a traitorous, murderous scumbag... but I don't want his blood on my hands!”
“After we execute Raiden, I'll be generous, and give you another ten minutes to comply!” Yamato continues. “If you do not hand her over within that time, we will charge in and we will take her by force!”
As everyone glances at each-other, unsure of what to do, Reiji closes over the book on his lap and stands up.
“Where are you going?” Sayeka asks.
“Outside,” Reiji casually replies. “This whole thing is stupid, and I want no part of it. I'm going to go out there, explain that I have nothing to do with this, and make my way back to class like a normal person.”
“Oh great, the new transfer student is running away like a coward!” Akio smirks.
“I'm not a transfer student, you dumbass! I've been here the whole time!”
Akio shrugs. “Yeah, keep saying that. You can't fool me... uhhh...”
“Reiji! You've met me! At orientation, you stuffed me in a locker!”
Akio shakes his head. “I've shoved plenty of people into lockers. You still don't ring a bell.”
Reiji huffs as he brushes past everyone and reaches for the doorknob.

Plus it would have left me with the temptation to switch the image I had for Ryoji with Kyon. Thankfully, there was a KC girl who had a good supply of art and a look that was very similar to what I was going for.

"What? No they won't," Reiji protests, turning the handle on the doorknob.
"Are you kidding?" you fire back. "They just threatened to execute a guy! Do you seriously think they aren't going to straight up murder anyone who walks out of here without Alice?"
Reiji pauses. "They wouldn't! That would be insane! This is a school! It's unreasonable!"
You nod, feigning interest. "Yes, you're right. Something like that would never happen in a normal, reasonable high school... say, what's this place called again?"
In a low and defeated voice, Reiji mutters, "Dark Gate Academy."
"Yeah, Dark Gate Academy. Our school is called Dark Gate Academy. News flash, Reiji; there's nothing normal or reasonable about this place, and the people on the other end of that door want to kill us. Do you really want to go out there?"
Reiji pauses, thinking it over. "No... of course not."
You place a hand on his shoulder. "Yeah... it's rough. But we have to stick together here."
"I understand..." Reiji mumbles, as he returns to the lounge, and readies his weapons.
"So what are we going to do?" Saki asks you. "About Raiden?"
"I don't know..." you mutter.
"We can't let them just execute him!" Saki protests.
"I know! But... they've got him there, and we can't get to him. If we try to attack, they'll kill him on the spot."
"We need a plan..." Sayeka replies, "And we only have 30 minutes to come up with one..."
"28 now," Ken adds. "Reiji took up some time there."

Do the above, but we grab one or two of their number, preferably not Hikaru's brother, and we bring them back, make sure the're knocked out and tied up, offer a prisoner exchange, demand Yamato deliver Raiden.
If he does, we have him isolated. If he doesn't and kills Raiden, he proves he's a monster, and likely has his people mind controlled, but we still have some of their guys as prisoners.

"That sounds risky," Rei states. "If we try it, we'd need to get out there and back here very quick."
You slap your palm to your forehead. "Oh, I hadn't thought of that! If only there were someone in this class who was very quick!"
Rei laughs. "I get it... I'm up for the challenge. Akira, you ready to do this?"
Akira finished off a bar of candy and nods.
Hikaru passes you a small control panel. "What's this, you ask?"
"Akemi made it. It'll set off the bombs in the surrounding area," she explains.
You look over to the sleeping Akemi. Even unconscious, she's really pulling her weight. You're not surprised she's so exhausted, but you are amazed that she can sleep through this.
You look over to Rei and Akira, who are both standing by the door, ready to sprint on your signal. You press the button, and Class 3 are shocked as the bombs surrounding them set off and they are covered in a thick layer of smoke. Rei and Akira make their move, running into the thick cloud. What happens next isn't visible to you, but it isn't long before Rei and Akira burst back through the door. Rei carries Raiden over her shoulder and carefully sets him on the ground, while Akira tosses down a member of Class 3. An unarmed and unconscious Nina lays at your feet, as you look up at Akira.
"What the...?"
"It's a bonus," Akira explains. "I was able to catch her off guard, take her down."
You give a pleased nod. One down... seven more to go.
The smoke still covers the outside courtyard as you approach Raiden in his chair. He coughs as he glares at you.
"What are you doing?" he asks. "You should have let them kill me. At this point, I deserve it..."

Raiden shakes his head. "Do you honestly believe that? You think you could beat them. You're doomed."
"We have to try!" you fire back. "I'm not going to let Yamato get away with this. He's a Darkworlder, Raiden. If there's anyone in this school who is actually a monster, it's him."
Raiden remains silent in the chair, barely clinging to consciousness. "Then you better win... and when he lies beaten, I'm going to put a bullet between his eyes."
You stand up, and turn your attention to Nina. Rei and Akira have already begun to tie her up with ropes. It isn't long before she comes to. "Where am I...?" she mutters, looking up at you.
"We've got you captured," you reply. "Now, I don't know if Yamato's got you following him because of his crazy charm powers or because you're genuinely crazy, but you're going to stay right here until we're done, okay?"
Nina refuses to answer.
Kosuke stands on a wooden chair and to your surprise, looks like he's about to give a speech to the class. He clears his throat. "Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my duty to inform you that we are moments away from going to war. It's not going to be easy. As such, I feel I should inform you that now is the time to have special bonding moments with those close to you, because you might not get another chance. On that note, I love you, Rini. You're the best gal in the world."
Thanks Kosuke, real motivational. To your surprise, some members actually take him up on his advice.
"Hey Sayeka, I-" Seishiro begins, before getting cut off.
"-I'm very flattered, but sorry," Sayeka replies, before walking away from him. Seishiro nods in complete understanding.
Akio leans against the wall, hesitating for a moment, before making his way over to Hikaru and placing his hands on her shoulders. "Hey... I'll be on the front lines in this fight, and I have to let you know..."
He chokes on his words slightly, causing Hikaru to smile. "Let me know what? That your favourite ice-cream is mint? You have a secret love for knitting. Or maybe-"
"I really like you," Akio blurts out, surprising her. "I know you think this is some back-and-forth game and I'm just some horny guy who doesn't take you seriously and just wants another conquest, but no. I... I like you, dammit. And as awesome and amazing as I am, I'm about to fight against some guys who are way tougher than me, and won't stop at killing me... and I'm scared. So... if something goes wrong, I just want you to know that, okay?"
For once, Hikaru is in stunned silence. No quips, no witty remarks, not even a sarcastic rolling of the eyes. She just stares as Akio begins to walk off. "Hey..." she mutters, causing him to turn his head back. "I really like you too. Please don't die."
Akio smirks. "Well, since you asked nicely..."
As nice a moment that was, you don't like it. It's beginning to sound like they're becoming accustomed to the idea that you might not all make it out of this alive. But you told Raiden the truth. Nobody's dying on your watch.
Nanami casually approaches Ken, placing a hand on his shoulder. "You know... I'm building a boat."
Ken raises a confused eyebrow. "You're doing what now?"
"I'm building a boat!" Nanami repeats. "A wooden one, that I can take out onto the lake and have adventures on."
"Sounds nice, but why are you telling me this now?" he asks.
"I just thought that after all this is through... you might want to help out? I could use an extra pair of hands to build it."
Ken smiles and nods. "Yeah... after we make it out of this, I'll help out. Of course."
Soon, you feel a tug on your arm, you turn around to find Saki staring at you hesitantly.

Eh, just mix em with the write-ins. It'll work out.
Saki doesn't answer, and just continues to stare at you, hesitantly. It's actually beginning to freak you out. Eventually, she speaks up. "My parents names are Mitsuo and Sakamae. My favourite color is green. When I was four years old I had a goldfish called Mr. Gorudo."
"Okay... what's the point of this?" you reply, raising an eyebrow.
"Yamato still has that ability of his," Saki explains. "I don't know if he can still use it on us now that we know about it, but if he can... I just want you to remember those facts about me, and if he tries that trick on me... and it starts to work, I want you to remind me of who I am. I want you to remind me that you're my best friend who knows all of this random crap about me."
You nod your head. "I got ya... but don't worry, you aren't going to fall for that crap. You were able to resist it before, weren't you? Now that you know about it, there's no way his charms are going to work."
Saki sighs. "I hope so... thank you, Ryoji."
You smirk. "Besides, aren't you supposed to get all flustered and embarrassed since you just called me your best friend again?"
Saki smiles and shakes her head. "No. I don't care about that. I'm not ashamed of saying it anymore. You're the best friend I've ever had, Ryoji... besides Mr. Gerudo. He was one amazing goldfish."
On instinct, you pull Saki in for a tight hug. You were against this mushy sentimental stuff right before battle at first, but damn did Saki force your hand with this one. It seems the hug is enough to break back a more familiar flustered Saki. "Ryoji? What are you doing? People are watching!"
"I don't care," you reply. "You know why, Sak? Because you're my best friend, too."
Saki's eyes widen in surprise as you feel her hot breath on your chest. She wasn't expecting that, was she? She wraps her arms around your back and squeezes tight. You place a hand on the back of her head, and lightly stroke her hair. For a moment, things just seem... right.
Of course, that moment was about to be ruined.
"Clever trick, Ryoji!" Yamato's voice booms out. "I tried to be reasonable! But you've forced my hand! Bring out Alice, Nina and Raiden right this instant, or we will cut you down!"
"Cut him down?" you hear Shinji question, clutching his head in pain. "I don't know... that doesn't seem right."
Yamato places a hand on Shinji's shoulder. "I understand your concerns, Shinji. But remember, Ryoji's a monster. And he has the rest of that Class under their control. We kill him, and the class will be free. Your sister will be free."
"I... I understand..." Shinji mutters, readying his sword.

That vampire-jedi-darkworlder is going down!

Can Hiro project the shield? It'd be neat if he cast his shield on Shinji to get him on our side , but that seems like pulling out your trump card the instant the battle starts.

>Yamato is a dark worlder and has been controlling you assholes for months!

>months
We don`t know the exact timeframe of when he started using his mind control powers. Could be months, could be from the very beginning.
>Well, time to see how Akemi's turrets work for us
Breaking away from your embrace with Saki, you grab the control panel and start up the turrets. Class 3 have been bound to be eyeing them up for a while. They're not exactly inconspicuous. They're hanging from the top of the dorm's roof, as plain as day. Still, while they're talking seems a good time to catch them off guard.
You hit the button on the panel, a fast pitched ball shoots from the barrel of the turret, whacking Yamato in the back of the head. He turns his head around, only to be pushed to safety by Yasutake, as the ball explodes in his face. Yasutake wipes his eyes with back of his hands, temporarily blinded, as the turrets continue to fire out similar projectiles.
"So... we're throwing Akemi a party when this is through, right?" Rini asks. "What a trooper."
Class 3 jumps around outside, dodging the numerous explosive balls being fired in their direction. They take a few hits, Taka takes one to the chest, Lilo gets hit in the shoulder, but none are enough to take them down. Eventually, Kamiko Still, the turrets managed to soften them up a bit, which definitely works. Eventually, Kamiko leaps onto the roof of the building and jams her rapier into the turrets one by one, malfunctioning them. Still, the turrets managed to soften them up a little, which is a definite benefit.
"Rei..." Akira mutters, as they pick up their weapons.
"Yeah, I know," Rei answers back, pre-empting her, "Don't over-do. I've heard the speech before."
"No," Akira replies. "Just this once... I'm letting you go all-out."
Rei's eyes light up with excitement. "You really mean it?"
Akira nods.
"All-out?" you ask. "What are you talking about?"
Akira looks towards you with a blank expression. "You haven't realised yet? Rei's been holding back."
She's been... what? Are you serious? The crap she's been pulling this whole time... and she's been holding back?
"I didn't train that much for nothing," Rei explains. "Hell, I'm certain I surpassed Saki a good while ago. But due to my illness... it takes so much out of me to strain myself as hard as I can, so she recommends not to do it. But I think we can make an exception in this case, right?"
>If you really think you can afford to, then go ahead.
>No, I'm not letting you put yourself at risk by pushing yourself too hard.
>If Akira thinks it's okay. She knows better than I do.

>>If you really think you can afford to, then go ahead.
We trust Rei, that's the most important thing to get across with how distant we've been.

"Give them hell."
