Janitor applications are now open.
For which boards are you apply?
How many times did you try?
What are you writing on those 3 textfields?
>>486607
>Wanting to be a janitor
Literal cuck
>Janitor applications are now being accepted for the next ~48 hours.
What did he mean by this?
>applied many times
>know board cultures very well
>able to recite rules without going to the rule page
>don't get janitor position
>friend just started browsing 1 month
>cries and reports content that isn't rule breaking because "THEY LIKE STUFF I DON'T LIKE!!!!"
>he gets the janitor position
So why should I apply again? Truth is: never. What will happen is the usual. People like my friend will get the position, then there will be a bunch of good content removed that broke zero rules of the board simply because it was content they didn't like. Then 6 months later, there will be another round of janitor applications. Lather, rinse, and repeat. This has been going on since the advent of 4chan.
>>486607
I don't think I'd be very good.
>>486618
Classic "my friend" story, anon
>doing it for free
surreee
>>486614
>>486635
I can't put to words what is wrong with the boards I frequent. I will recognize a shitpost for what it is, but only when I see it.
Also
>legally binding contract
>>486653
>Do you even love this site?
no
>>486618
>there will be a bunch of good content removed that broke zero rules of the board simply because it was content they didn't like.
One of the main problems in 4chan
>>486618
Maybe you just have a bad personality?
>Think about submitting application to janitor for /vr/
>remember that the board is now overrun with /v/-tier posters these days
>Nothing worth saving
>say "fuck it", close tab, go play videogames instead
Too little, too late, no point in trying to fix it anymore. Most of our best posters have already abandoned ship thanks to the lack of moderation, now there's nothing left to save.
>>486607
why would you want to be a janitor?
>>486653
Love is over.
>>486653
>deleting content at random makes the site better
Yeah bud, whatever
>>486712
>>say "fuck it", close tab, go play videogames instead
I feel you deeply.

Applied for /mu/
Getting sick of the troll threads and spam threads
Time for affirmative action, nigguh
I've only been here 5 years. I don't feel like I know things well enough.
>>486867
How is that even possible? I've been here for four and instinctivley read the rules and versed myself with chan/BBS history. I think you're only doing a wrong to yourself for being ignorant for that much time.
>>486870
>I've only been here for four years
Application rejected tbhonest lad
>>486872
Dude y tho
>about to finish filling it out
>online nickname
>put in Mongolisim
Some boards are about to get KHAN'D.
> Note: We are accepting applications for all boards EXCEPT /b/, /qa/, /trash/ and [s4s].
>/qa/
Aw, but this is the only board I go to and I only want to be a janitor to combat the occasional humongous wave of spam that hits us about once a month.
>he's a janitor
>on the internet
>on an anime imageboard
>he does it for free
>he takes his "job" very seriously
>he does it because it is the only amount of power & control he will ever have in his pathetic life
>he deletes threads he doesn't like because whenever he gets upset he has an asthma attack
>he deletes threads he doesn't like because they interfere with the large backlog of little girl chinese cartoons he still has to watch
>he will never have a real job
>he will never move out of his parent's house
>he will never be at a healthy weight
>he will never know how to cook anything besides a hot pocket
>he will never have a girlfriend
>he will never have any friends
>>486618
Why are you friends with that jackass?
applied for /int/
i filled the nickname field with Alberto Barbosa the Horsefucker. i don't have a chance, right?
>>486897
>le projecting
Why would you ever want to be a janitor? Everyone even thinks you're a Nazi like >>486889 or they think you're a lazy piece of shit.
>>486897
get b& son
i embrace the fundamental chaos of the system and do not dare try to control it
hail eris
>complains about the moderation and janitors not cleaning up the mess newfags and Redditors leave behind
>doesn't just take up the janitor gig to clean up
Is there a confirmation screen? On mobile and it just sent me to a fresh application screen when I submitted. Not sure if it wen through.
I applied years and years ago, but the longer I stay here, the more I realize that being a janitor would be an entirely unrewarding, frustrating experience.
I'd probably also be fired for overstepping my mark within the first week.
I applied for my 2 main boards like a year ago but didn't get it. Considering the state of moderation I don't think many others got it either, so I don't see the point in typing out all that shit again.
>>486934
>He didn't copy-paste his application before submitting
>>486712
This.
There isn't really anything left to salvage on this site.
>>486944
Not you hopefully.
>>486952
I see this guy on /a/ sometimes. He doesn't even try to hide his newfagness. Obviously hasn't been here for a year.
I'm still thinking what should I write there
>>486944
>Derp Commander as a janitor
>>486939
If what you wrote last time didn't work, why the bloody hell would it work if you pasted it again?
>>486865
I'll join you, maybe I'll think of you when I get the job and I'm deleting pictures of cats.
>>486618
Reveal his identity and get him fired.
>consider doing it for free
>look at application
That is fucking long. No thank you.
>>486957
You kinda insulted the mods in everything you said one way or another I'd change it.
>>486957
>janitors should watch ongoing anime so that they can recognize blatant trolling
What exactly do you mean by this? I don't understand, to me it sounds like you're a hivemind autist who thinks that a different opinion about a series is "blatant trolling".
>>486607
>Janitor applications are now open.
niggers
>For which boards are you apply?
/ic/ mainly and then /vg/
>How many times did you try?
first time doing it
>What are you writing on those 3 textfields?
the amount of dicks i've sucked and how hard i wanna do it for free
Srlsly though the /pol/ shitposters are leaking pretty bad to MY dead board and I just HAVE to do something about it. Besides submitting my terribad art and the occasional passive aggressive anonymous insult.
>>487050
This.
The only boards that truly needs more janitors is /vg/
That place is the wild west of shitposts
Applying for /a/ for the 3rd time. Probably won't get in, but it's one of the only ways I know for sure the mods will read my grievances with the state of things so I go all out on the "what are the biggest problems facing your board(s)" section.
>>487050
It's not a different opinion when it's reposted few times a day
>>487050
It's blatant trolling when it's literally copy/pasta from Reddit or MAL and is reposted every week, if not multiple times a week.
>>487150
>That board can almost need thread specific moderation teams.
That's basically what I tried to describe in my application. Each general on there is like it's own board.
>>487208
Not every general has shitposting problems
So how long should I wait for a response?
I'm thinking about applying but I don't know if I'd make a difference.
>get accepted as a janitor
>forget password
Out of curiosity, why are they not accepting applications for /b/?
>inb4 FBI doesn't want to share /b/
>>487002
Just write a couple sentences for each box saying your 5 year old nephew could do the job, the shorter the better.
If you get the position then good for you, if not you didnt waste much time or brain cells filling out that piece of shit application.
>>487936
The only thing that can get you banned on /b/ is something illegal. Not even ponies are a guaranteed ban.
/b/ doesnt need janitors with its simplistic rules.
>>486607
I apply every single time to be a janitor for /f/.
I've never been accepted.
>>486607
>tfw you want to apply to enfore icy hot justice on your home board
>tfw youre computer illiterate
>tfw you'd probably be a tyrannt deleting Jojo threads and stupid eceleb threads except dodger
I could be a good janitor. I've browsed the same few board for 9 years, but I don't want the responsibility of being responsible for a board
Like I don't want to be expected to do janitor shit every day, but if I could remove spam threads that would be cool
>>487208
With a community that segregated, unless they get a literal autistic NEET janitor or two who can patrol every thread on the board 18 hours out of the day, the best solution would be to encourage the generals to more frequently report anything that's off-topic or derails a thread. "Help them help you" kind of synergy.
>>488878
Most generals aren't bad except /d2g/ and /lolg/. /sc2g/ /bsg/ and /ksg/ are just surreal shitpost circlejerks.
>>488878
The police aren't that effective if no one calls 911, no matter how much they patrol.
