Part of the reasons the cancer was allowed to spread to the point that /int/ now has 30 or so chat room generals is because the janitors/mods have a personal, biased interest in them.
That seems to be the case for generals on some other boards as well- and the generals are only growing in number as time goes on.
/brit/ was the harbinger of /int/'s end.
