At some point banter turned from something witty and observational to repeating stale memes hundreds of times every day.
I get it, you wanted to be a part of the /int/ you saw in screencaps on /v/ but you're not contributing to it at all, but rather hampering it with your drive-by meme pasta. A bot could fill your shoes and no one could tell the difference.

Because somehow it managed to detach itself from the rest of the site over the years. It doesn't raid boards or produce OC that spreads all over the site like it used to. It just is, a self-contained, porn-dumping giant you don't ever notice anymore unless you go there. You can easily forget /b/ even exists. The same isn't true for boards like /v/, /pol/ or /tv/ that tend to leak their memes and agendas all over the place.
