It's been going on, daily, for YEARS. Literally years. New people come in and leave after a month or so once they realize how persistent it is.

Plokdev is a known cuck who ran off to cripplechan because his project has been dragging on for years and he can't handle people like reek. Other things you will find on Blake's tumblr include his assertion that posting videos and pictures of himself (spam) was only causing people to "say I'm cute and stuff". The truth is it irritated everyone in agdg and it was later revealed all the "wow you're so cute, rotate" posts were rotate himself.
When called a faggot by a number of devs, he publicly declared that they were his enemies and the reason for all his problems in AGDG, in particular a dev named "Mothdan".
Mothdan was conveniently issued a bombthreat after the following poll was taken in AGDG and was getting more attention than rotate. When Mothdan and others reported the threat, Rotate flipped out and can be seen in his tumblr that night saying "Fuck this I'm done with agdg forever".
He later said "People were threatening to find my address" when in truth the threat was made against the terrorist who issued the bomb threat. In other words, Rotatedev admitted that he was scared for himself because he made the bomb threat and was turned in. He later denied this, but let's be clear about this person: he is a psychopath and a young kid who abuses meth salt medication. He has a lot of energy but a very very short memory span and this causes him to tell outrageous lies.
For instance:
He started agdg2 in an attempt to kill agdg because his popularity had waned.
He then claimed "I never tried" to kill agdg as you'll see in his tumblr.
And there have it. There are other individuals who need removed from AGDG and who dodge bans, but Rotatedev is and always has been the root of AGDG's problems. It is his perogative to blame devs who "weren't nice" to him, and repeat regularly that "Rotatedev did nothing wrong" despite the fact that proof of his behavior exists on his own social media outlets.
Start at the root and keep drilling.

On that note - it would be wrong to ban /agdg/. What's needed is community awareness. You can't let people like rotatedev or other pedophiles and ban dodgers ingratiate with your community and expect things to be okay. If any developer comes along who rubs them the wrong way or even worse makes them insecure with themselves, agdg will suffer for it.

Yeah it's worth it. Just don't engage in the shitposting, report, ignore, whatever, and just post about gamedev shit. Most people (who aren't scared off by the shitposting) do this. Or if it starts, just leave for a couple hours, work on your game, come back and talk about your progress.
People don't always give feedback, it's often critical, but imo that's a lot better than /r/gamedev where everyone shills their own products and gives "Good job!" feedback.

It is very enjoyable at times, and I enjoying posting progress on my project there too. But there is also at least another half of the community that enjoys and indulges in shitposting. To name a few below:
