Actually I would say it's the opposite.
Biologically women are more selective in choosing a mate because they have to go 9 months carrying a kid where they can no longer be impregnated, so it's more beneficial for them to be more picky.
Males are biologically programmed to just fuck everything because they can go every day no matter how many women they knock up.
However, culturally in the modern world we can't just go fuck someone without their permission first (excluding rapists). This results in women having men just line up to be with them and they get to take their pick.
Which may seem slutty at first glance, but really the guys at the top are definitely sleeping around more than anyone.
So a smaller percentage of males at the top are basically fucking all the women, and you end up with hardly any pure females older than 18 who all have at least 1 or 2 sexual partners. The males at the top have like 5-10 partners and a whole bunch of "beta" males at the bottom who are virgins.
