A large part of the cancer on /b/ is roll threads and porn. Porn is also seriously detrimental to /r9k/ and it always has been, especially now when it can be used to racebait so effectively.

We need less boards but /b/ needs to be fixed. Make it SFW and permaban anyone who posted there in any of the active threads from all boards. Go as far as banning IP ranges, ISPs, countries, whatever. And return the classic bans where the boards were locked out altogether.

There is no decent board for random discussion on 4chan. /r9k/, /b/, and /int/ are not good or appropriate for discussing things. A random board should, ideally, aggregate important recommendations and occurrences from interest boards and generate good stories because people are allowed to blog or post extraneous things. It has been a long time since any random board has done that.
