Hiro, when are we going to get an iOS and Android 4chan app? The options we have right now are pretty terrible.
Chan4Chan on Iphone is basically just a browser bookmarker. I understand that the mobile site isnt that terrible, but a dedicated app with decent functionality seems almost essential at this point.
And before anyone starts with the "you can thank /y/ and /e/ for no app" there are plenty of apps that are just pron at this point. And Plebbit just released it's official app, and that site is filled with porn. We need our own custom app.

Anons on Android/Apple/Windows/etc. mobile devices can still view the desktop version of the site. You are also overlooking the fact that tethering connections exist, which allows people on mobile broadband connections to use the Internet on their desktop machines without having a landline connection, in fact I am using one right now due to lack of landline access.

Not all the people hired by moot and hiro are decent human beings.
I like to believe most of them are just really stuck up people with nothing else to do, so they use their perfect track record and abuse it as much as possible.
This isn't even counting how much of them are Reddit frequenting babbies who get offended at the first mention of something they don't agree with.
There is no way to judge them accordingly, and basically would require hiroyuki to fire all the morons and hard working people that moot hired in order to replace them with people who may or may not deserve the title of Mod.
If the rampant abuse over the years is any indicator, then yes I think this site has much more to gain by setting strict standards for future mods and by letting go all the previous mods, despite how well they have done over the years.
I want to believe most good mods would just gain their status back if re-hired because of their good record and lack of bans. Some I believe would lose their Mod status because of the beliefs they have gained over the years clearly disqualifying them from being a moderator on a website like 4chan.
I do honestly believe boards like /k/ and /sp/ and even /pol/ have problems when it comes to mods. They have a large portion of users banned due to the Mods personal gripes or views on a particular topic, when originally the powers granted to them were to curb the posting of things like CP and spambots.
As it stands now, it is ultimately up to hiroyuki on how to approach the abuse by mods, a diffucult task but not impossible. People will look out for their own, and I'm sure more than a few janitors and moderators would rather treat this sit as their own subreddit page than follow the rules or enforce the few rules that they have been selected to enforce.
