Janitors cannot ban. They can only remove posts and I believe give warnings.
But still, it can be bad on /lisg/ where posts are removed for having a certain opinion, for creating a story, or for summing something up for others. It's killing discussion and creativity in a thread where that's the whole point.
I do not know if other generals suffer from similar issues, I doubt it since I've been a few others and never seen that volume of post deletion, but I encourage people who feel his a problem to use the appropriate means.

Let me tell you of the 4 King's Shitposter, resident of Dark Souls General. He posts anywhere from 10-50 shitposts, all focused on a boss form Dark Souls, the Four Kings, almost every single thread. He says the same damn posts every time, he dodges filters, and for two years now he's been at it. Recently he's stepped his game up and started more subtle shitposting that will persist, like a stain, even though we change threads every six to ten hours.
And I believe he is a mod on /vg/.

Here's my filters that I have accumulated over the years that have worked a number of times that could be counted by hand.
That screencap wasn't really proof of it, but it was something that led me to believe that, in the very least, some mod liked him over the rest of the general. I had posted a roll a character chart in hopes that the shitposter's ravings would be diluted in a sea of rolls, and I got a warning. I'm thankful I wasn't banned, but it still left me feeling like I was the one who should leave.

I did report him. I did my best to filter him. I tried my best to ignore him, for months. He doesn't care if he gets no replies and deleted or if the entire thread is derailed. He keeps doing it. The mods hadn't proved themselves reliable to me at that point. If mods aren't gods when I need them, what's a man to do? If I don't think he's going to leave anytime soon, I have to push him out.
