How can i securely open a DVD without compromising my computer. Open it on an old computer off the grid I don't mind trashing? It does say "mp3" and some other indistinguishable letters . Advice to securely open?

I wouldn't even want to watch whatever is on it, Tbh. There's a decent chance it's child porn.
But you're probably hoping for that.
>>442353
it is not possible for an audio cd to carry a virus
I don't actually know if theres mp3's on it... I might try and pop it into a car stereo. Yet your right, it could be something like child porn so either way i think im just going to trash it. The curiosity is killing me though x.x.

Try a dvd player? If its a video of sorts, cpuldnt hurt
why would you order something from the deep web if you don't have any idea how to use it without fucking yourself up?
>>442380
It was something of an extra i didn't ask for
Load it on any basic DVD player and check with the built-in file manager thing
Get a really good magnifying glass and read it
>>442392
Ah duh, thanks dude, ill check it out tonight. I hope this doesn't turn into "the ring" situation.

make sure you report back

What were you buying that physically had to be shipped?
Inb4 it's drugs and that disc has some FBI snooping backdoor program.

>it is not possible for an audio cd to carry a virus
It can if it's a data CD. Which is what .mp3 discs are.
OP needs to open it on an old PC that isnt connected to the Internet, it's the only safe way to do that sort of thing.
Watching this thread.
its full of guro
Get a virtual machine and open it in that.
I couldn't find a dvd player that would play it so stuck it in an old PS3 that wasn't on the internet. A very eclectic blend of music from the doors, katy perry, lancelot to hymns and wedding music (mostly the hymns cd music showed up as corrupted data or unsupported). Something still feels odd about it though and I know you can hide stuff such as images within mp3's so I will further examine it on an old PC soon. The music was of poor fidelity as well and came in just under 1GB. Just seems weird to have wedding hymns then some gangster trap music on a random deep web "mixtape".

was my first instinct but still don't even like putting it in my cd-rom drive e.e
>>442664
Destroy it, it's probably cp

You need to be 18 years old to browse this site.

This, what?

boot up a linux live system from an usb flash drive
>>442921
Nah,if it was so rare OP's PS3 would have caught fire.
>>442664
Yep, that's steganographed CP, alright. Or a really bitchin' mixtape.
Try just opening the files in winrar or whatever first, then dig for advanced methods. Those indistinguishable letters you mentioned might be the password by the way for whatever tool they used.
Keep us updated, I'm kinda curious about this. What the hell did you even order?

Virtual VM Machine
>>443041
What emotion(s) is it trying to convey?
Having dvd-rom issues as I only have 1 working drive left I share across other computers when needed (really never use dvd's anymore). I ran a live USB version of kali linux but my sata drive wasn't being recognized, couldn't find it on Tails either so I might just use a VM. Haven't had much time to dissect it lately but working on it. I hear a lot of CP but i just don't understand why someone would go through the trouble to put CP on a fake mixtape, unless to frame someone and that wouldn't be advantageous to either of us.

The issue could be the secondary comp i'm using off grid is a little dated as well. It's an overall issue of it detecting the sata dvd drive while in a live usb environment.

I find this unimpressive.
>>444766
I find you unimpressive, but at least your numbers are quite nice.
Can't find anything with OpenPuff using everything I could think of as a password and nothing came up. Can't figure out why those files are corrupt but I can't find anything, seems it's just an ordinary mixtape.
>>444855
I remain unimpressed, both by the get and your blase' appeal to my doubles, but I cannot help but acknowledge the digits you selected for response. Well played good sir.
>>442353
Delete system32 before opening it, that'll protect your critical system files and you can recreate them after you're done with the DVD.
>>445001
I did get the sexts, not him. I wouldn't post shitty anime. Only good anime, like K-On.
>>442664
That's most likely CP. What the fuck did you even order?
>>442353
>mp3
>some other indistinguishable letters
mp3 are "indistinguishable letters"? What the hell, OP.
Literally after "mp3" on the front the other 3-4 characters look like nonsense, i can't make out any letters in it that make sense, trust me I tried as passwords.

post pic
If you can't do it yourself upload virtual image of this disc so we can see it too.
>>443612
Oh, that is defiantly something in the pic. There is a few ways to embed a file so that it appears as something else. Make a copy of the image and rename it to an archive file type, 7zips or .rar would be the most common. If it's embedded in the way I think it is you should be able to open it with winrar or 7zip and view any files in there.
4chan stops any embedded files because people were spreading all sorts of stuff, including cp.
Most other image upload sites don't check for this ;) Send someone your .epub files or something
Bumping for mystery CP disc

DEFIANTLY.
Surely OP will deliver.
