Why is asking for people to voluntarily contribute to something

Why is asking for people to voluntarily contribute to something they enjoy considered "jewish"?
Regardless of the board and what it deals with (anime, tv/movies, video games, etc.) this is met with the same attitude of "they're e-begging jews now, let's stop supporting them" simply because donations are being accepted. In some cases the product wouldn't even exist without said donations.
Is there something inherently wrong with this practice or are the naysayers just your average shitters who take issue with everything?

The one thing I dislike about Patreon is how a porn artist would make a picture and then blur shit out unless you contributed to the Patreon for the uncensored version I think.
