I like that it's messy and inconsistent.

It encourages people to just use bookmarks or have their browsers remember where they've been so it auto-fills in the url.

Why anyone would want to repeatedly type a URL in to a site they visit regularly is beyond me. Seems like ultra-laziness.

I don't understand how you could think that having to type out a URL is laziness but using your bookmarks and having your browser auto-fill URLs is not.
