4chan was created by stealing concepts and software. It was a hacked clone job and the little scouting missions m00t encouraged initially was all about bringing things into 4chan which would make it more appealing, because he wanted the site to grow and become more populous, like every teenager does their pet project. The ironic thing about that image is that by the time Reddit became a boogeyman, 4chan had long since had most of the creative people driven away by the spergs from the general public who forced their way into this site and collectively shat all over the culture of every legacy board.
No one site was responsible for stealing the original content that was generated from our earlier collectives, because it was never meant to be preserved. The only reason why they stayed alive long enough was because of the newer, younger users -and likely also you- weren't creative nor intelligence and in place of ephemeral creation, destruction and recreation, this new majority took the liberty of recycling the same things over and over for months and years on end till they became established in the mainstream, by the very people within the boards who were constantly mindlessly repeating them.
Stop trying to shift the blame and start having a look at the origin of the course. Oh, that's right: you weren't fucking there, just like 999 out of every 1000 users currently.
